Quote from: Sem on Today at 02:25:47 PMI would put Linda Ronstadt at the top of my list, even ahead of Janis, due to her versatility.

Personally I don't think Carole King has a great voice, (I do love it though), but her strength is more as a songwriter.

Depending on how far you want to stretch the term "rocker..."
Karen Carpenter!!
Diana Ross
Etta James
Barbara Streisand

I loved Karen Carpenter and Mama Cass.

Quote from: Ed Vette on Today at 01:59:06 PMNo love for Linda Ronstadt, Tina or Melissa Etheridge?

Nobody tops Janice.

Then there are other folk/Pop Icons. Joan Baez, Carol king, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins...

 :-??
Quote from: T200 on Today at 01:33:20 PMThe celebrity roasts are notorious for being unabashedly raunchy and raw. There's an old saying... Be careful what you ask for. I think Tom got more than he bargained for. He definitely didn't like the Kraft joke about the massage.

In this day and age of stronger sensativities, I am surprised that they still have roasts

Quote from: Painter on Today at 01:45:35 PMYou may have to retire whenever he does, Rich. You won't have anyone else left to blame, or you may just have to abandon the habit.  :hmm:

Cheers!

I don't think I would characterize holding the man with the Senior VP of Medical Services and Head Trainer title accountable for over a decade of the teambeing near the top of the league in lost man-hours due to injury as "blaming".  I would characterize it as "holding accountable"

Wow! Is it that such a challenging question that it requires all that cockadoodle? Good gosh! In any case, we would do well to define what we mean by "Great..." in 25 words or less, beholder's eye or otherwise, or is that just too much to ask?

Cheers!

Quote from: Uncle Mickey on Today at 01:55:34 PMLOL, at least Aaron Wellman is back. He was a low-key big loss to the S&C staff.

On another note, I like how our overall staff is shaping up with just two kind of unknowns in Bowen and Ghobriel TBD starting this year.

The offense especially seems to have every critical component in place now (at least in theory) from coaches to talent in the key areas for the QB to have the tools to sink or swim.

Yeah, I like what Wellman did when he was with the Giants.  Hopefully, he can recreate his magic.

I like the mix up of Singletary, Tracy, and whoever wins the other RB...probably Gray IMO. It's always advantageous to have a variety of skill sets among those who are going to carry the ball. With Barkley, we were pretty much one-dimensional, not to mention every team we faced schemed for him whenever he was on the field. And we know Tracy can catch a ball and will probably be used like that quite a bit. Should be an exciting year to watch the youngsters get their feet wet on the big game board

Another conspiracy theory. You know what they say about conspiracy theories.
