I just don't get it.
Quote from: BluesCruz on May 26, 2024, 05:19:30 AMBy that I meant the NE starter and bring them back to relevance
He has the intangibles that made Brady good and its between the ears, confidence etc
His arm is also grossly underrated
We have never had much luck with QBs Some have been good, none dominant in a Brady, Montana type sense
We will find a way to fumble Tommy D away- just watch
Quote from: Trench on Today at 12:01:40 PMThe problem is we have seen from OTA footage is this guy doesn't even practice looking off the DBs and safeties. The more I see of him during drills the more it becomes evident. I pray I'm wrong
Quote from: Ed Vette on May 26, 2024, 07:25:46 PMDon't be surprised if they keep three on the roster initially. A long shot but it's possible until DJ proves he can not have a setback.
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 26, 2024, 12:26:59 PMHe would be my candidate too. There is no player on the team who had a bigger 2022 to 2023 performance dip than Jones, so he is the most obvious candidate for a bounce-back as he has the most room to bounce back.
The more interesting question for me is whether he can be better in 2024 than he was in 2022. Being materially better than 2023 practically goes without saying. There is no way Jones is nearly as bad as he was in 2023.
Quote from: BluesCruz on May 23, 2024, 04:21:16 PMHe did very well at Syracuse and Illinois.....big time programs
By contrast Jones was a big time loser at small time Duke
Where are we here, in a hall of mirrors? DeVito is better than the robotic Jones by a country mile
The delta is that Jones is now Mara's very expensive adopted sun
It seems the Giants will let DeVito float and lost to waivers....he will wind up in NE as the next Tom Brady My prediction
Jones has been touched by the hand of Mara.

Quote from: Gmo11 on May 23, 2024, 06:17:32 AMI'm with King. He's throwing with accuracy and velocity. Cool. Better than the alternative but doesn't move the needle much for me. Let's see him do those things in a real game against a real defense before we start thinking year 6 is the year he finally figures it all out.
Quote from: Gman329 on May 20, 2024, 09:20:28 AMI generally agree with this but Jones would not have signed for $30M. So would the Giants have maybe used the tag there, instead of on Barkely?
Quote from: T200 on May 17, 2024, 08:47:54 AMI feel like they've made the wrong decisions on Jones every time they had to make one. It's like the "which hand is it in?" game.
- Exercise his 5th year option? Nope, wrong answer.
- New $160 million contract with $92 guaranteed? Nope, wrong answer.
- He'll show he's worth the deal and can be a next-level QB? Nope, wrong answer.
We keep getting snake bit by the Ghosts of Gettleman.
Quote from: Trench on May 15, 2024, 04:09:47 PMWell it is in poor taste to make a completely false statement on a message board where we are continually dissecting words and thoughts and then when called out, the answer is it was simply hyperbole. Had it been stated as such in the beginning (or simply admit a mistake was made) we could have avoided a lot of negative back and forth
