To All,

On Friday at 7:30 am, one of my hockey players on a team I am an assistant coach on, was hit by a truck and killed while waiting to enter her school bus.

Evelyn was a friend and teammate to my youngest son and a person I simply thought the world of. The nicest kid, whose personality was infectious, her smile and laughter was something that would put a smile on anyone's face.  Upon entering a room and seeing here for the first time that day she would run up to me and give me a giant hug. One of my favorites.

Her parents Brian an EMT and Missy an ER Nurse are the nicest, highest quality people you could ever ask to meet. We have known them for 6 or 7 years.  Hockey is a long all in sport, we see them 3 nights a week and the majority of Saturday and Sundays at the rink for 8-9 months a year. WE played on Spring teams together and traveling to multiple states.

This tragedy has simply crushed our community.

In the wake of this horrible nightmare, I am trying to help in the fundraising initiative for a scholarship and much needed new ice rink in her honor.

I wanted to post the link to her fundraising initiative started by her friends.

In advance thank you

I must say I enjoy wine

I founded a wine club of 4 couples and we meet with each couple hosting, theme based each night.
WE have done:
vintage comparisons by region
vintage comparison by vineyard
By region
By grape
comparing genomes from Europe that were used to cultivate in USA
Food Parings
Fire year vs non fire year

makes the exploration more academic

I have been collecting wine for over 20 years.

When my wife caught covid she can no longer drink red wine and has shifted to Cognac, Sauvaugn blanc and Rose' so its been interesting

I probably have around 250 bottles + or - from all over the world

Great topic

Tonight I went for a date with my bride for dinner and a movie.

Our favorite Laotian Restaurant followed up with the 80 Anniversary Showing of Casablanca .

After 40-50 viewings on vhs, dvd,and blue Ray; getting to see it on the big screen was exciting .

Day 5 Camp Report

New York Giants Training Camp Practice Report: Day 5 - Sports Illustrated New York Giants News, Analysis and More

Excerpts

One of the challenges of being on the outside looking in can be to determine if the offense is ahead of the defense or vice versa during training camp.

Well, for the first few days of camp, the offense has been inconsistent on plays it should be otherwise making. But if head coach Joe Judge is concerned, he's not letting on.
"I think we all have plenty to work on right now," he said. "So in terms of the who

Notebook: Blake Martinez returns; Todd Davis joins LB room in series of roster moves (giants.com)

Blake Martinez, the team's leading tackler in 2020, returned to the team for the first time since being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. He will not participate in the Giants' practice this evening in Eddie Moraes Stadium in Newark, part of the NFL's "Back Together Saturday" initiative.
Todd Davis, an eight-year veteran who has played for three teams, signed with the Giants.
"Blake is back with us in the building today, he's his normal self, smiling ear to ear, happy to be with the team," coach Joe Judge said. "He's always a lot of fun to have around, he's always got a good comment, but definitely a guy who communicates a lot in the meetings, so that's been beneficial having him back already.
"In terms of where he'll be on the field with us, the plan right away is to get him with the trainers and continue his kind of ramp up and build him back physically. When we know he's ready to go, we'll get him back on the field."
