Again choosing obscure words instead of the east obvious.

stare

sneak

To me sneak or speak were equally likely to be the word, it was just a coin toss which one I tried first (and if I were to bet, I would have bet wrong)

I am reminded of the Seinfeld episode where George Costanza enjoyed great success doing the opposite of what he would normally do

This was a tough one for me.  I think I have a couple of bald spots from all the head-scratching I was doing trying to come up with guesses.

I have no rhyme or reason to my process. I just think of a word, usually with an "e" on the end and put it in. Using the letters I found (if any) I simply put in the first word that comes to mind using those letters. Then I just play it out like "JUMBLE" and try to figure it out. I guess there is some rhyme and reason to my process

Stare
belch
(those were easy, but I had a devil of a time figuring out a word that didn't start with b or end with ble. Finally, I tried lobed, which I doubted was the word, but it would at least hopefully provide a clue)

lobed
that was enough clues that

libel  wasn't hard to guess

I like this approach of explaining each guess. I'll try the same.

Don't worry, I won't do this everyday haha. This is a lazy Saturday morning.

ADIEU: I go with this as my starting word everyday. I know it technically may not be the absolute best one, but the way my mind seems to work with words and letters I tend to think it actually is for me.

FILES: First thing I had to do after the initial guess was think about the most likely spot for the I. I thought it was basically impossible that it was in the 5th spot, and I thought it was unlikely to be in the first spot (though probably not impossible). So it was pretty much 95% or higher to be in the second spot for me. Next thing was to come up with a word that used some common letters. F isn't all that common, but L and S certainly are. I was pretty sure I was all set with vowels. So FILES is what I came up with. I know they never do plural words, but I didn't think I had a shot at actually guessing this one in two so I was happy to just get the S in there.

LIBEL: At this point I had the vowels in the right place and knew I had to have an L in either the first or last spot. I couldn't really think of any other words other than LIBEL at that point.
