And, if Jones plays this season and gets hurt, which seems likely given his history, playing style and current physical standing (coming off an ACL and 2 prior neck injuries)...

Jones has an injury clause that guarantees $23 million (of his $30 million salary) next season, should New York attempt to cut him while he can't pass a physical.

Middling is exactly where we don't want to be.  Good teams always have a chance and bad teams get the draft capital needed to get better.  Jones is not only not our answer at QB but he is possibly the worst problem we have on the team...just good enough to make us middling, very expensive and an injury waiting to happen (and if that happens, we're on the hook for an injury clause)   :surrender:

You could move the Cowboys to the NBA and I'd still despise them.  The 2 chances each year to beat them is something I don't want to give up!

LT was the only Defensive player on that list.  Damn he was special!  :ok:

Sorry to be the pessimist / glass half empty guy...but I don't think there can be a scenario, hypothetical or not, to envision DJ on the team in 2025.  His biggest weakness is his lack of processing the defense and going through his reads.  This is a god given ability and you either have it or you don't.  I'm sorry, but he doesn't have it, which is why all of his other above average attributes have not matterd.   :(

Is this entire thread a satire?    :surrender:

If the Giants staff has done all their homework and still like Penix, I'm on board with one caveat, Ronnie Barnes.  Not sure I trust his sign off on anything, even what to order for lunch   :surrender:

According to Daniel Jeremiah, his third pillar is "Playmakers" and that would definitely include running backs.

I've said this since day 1:  Jones has all the tools, Height / Good Arm / Accuracy / Mobility / Smarts / Dedication / Toughness / Etc.  The one tool he is missing is Processing speed and that is one item that can be improved with time but will always be an issue.  This is why just looking at him and seeing his tools can get some people excited about his ceiling only to watch him bump his head pretty quickly   :surrender:

Detroit looks poised for another run.  I wonder if he was run out of town since it seems like 1 more year might net him a ring.  Oh well.

I think there'd be a lot less hate if he wasn't wearing Eagle green.   :boooo:
