Back to Tervis real quick.  Watch for their sales.  On occasion, they have a buy one, get one.

Here are two of the 30oz Stainless that I had them make for me.  One has both our Shepards on it that we lost 5 weeks apart and the other one has both our current puppies

I love the Eastern Bloc architecture.  Someday, I will make it to Red Square and St. Basile's Basilica

Great pix Jim. I LOVE pix like that, when the sun is behind a cloud but you can still see the 'rays' shining out.

What are you using to take these?

My iPhone (iPhone X)

Two "sunrise" photos this morning.  The first, I saw after getting out of the vet's office and the second was at the poling site for voting this morning (they are less than mile apart and walking distance to from the house)

Where did you get that tumbler made? I know sites like Shutterfly etc. do things like that. I tried them once and wasn't too thrilled with their work, though I have used them for photo books. anayway, just curious?

Tevis (https://www.tervis.com/create).  We have had many created by them.  I have 2 that I split my time with - both 30oz Stainless.  One has the two German Shepard we lost almost 2 years ago and the other has the two current puppies we have.  Heidi has one with the pictures of all the cats.  I also had one created for her of Dogwood Blossoms, for her love of Dogwood Plants.

What is awesome about Tervis - they are a Florida Company and all their products, short of the stainless are made right there in Florida.  To meet the Stainless demand, they partnered with another company for the cup and customize it in their Florida Plant.

They also have a no-questions asked lifetime warranty, which I have used and it is awesome.  I had a small 16oz tumbler that started to get condensation inside the insulated walls.  It was an "off the shelf" design and I took it to Bed Bath and Beyond (a Tervis Reseller) and they looked at it, said "no problem, go grab another one" and I walked out a happy customer.  Right now, they are one of three  companies that have gone over and above with their warranties.

I might need to appropriate these lighthouses.  My wife absolutely loves Lighthouses.  Her favorite is the old Minot's Ledge Light near Scituate, Massachusetts, not far from where she spent the first few years of her life and then all her high school years.  (the time in between was just north of Atlanta).

She loves the story that goes along with this light house: "When, in 1894, a new flashing lantern was installed in the 34-year-old lighthouse it had a 1-4-3 sequence and very soon the number sequence was taken to represent 'I Love You' or 'I Miss You' (I /1 flash, Love /4 flashes, You /3 flashes). Over the years this simple lighthouse code has been a comfort to sailors from the area, their sweethearts and families. The story is now widely known and the code is much loved for itself."

While it's not my photo, I was able to take this picture and make it into a Tervis Tumbler for her.

ok Lenn, your covered bridges have inspired me to share my covered bridge shot. I posted one earlier looking into the bridge, here are a couple from the outside of the same bridge which is in Switzerland.

Seeing these really makes me wish I still had my photos from Amsterdam . . .

We need to move the Blackened Chicken to the Recipe thread.  That is dead on!  :)

Funny thing is, if you are a maple syrup guy, there are many small farms that sell Maple syrup by the gallon for about what you would pay for 1/2 gallon in any of the stores. We always do this, then fill up smaller containers and give them away as gifts, and, of course, some for ourselves.

My wife and I joke - she needs Alfredo hooked up intravenously and I need maple syrup hooked up that way  :)

Growing up, my uncle lived in Burlington.  In fact, a few cousins still live there.  I remember visiting when I was young and helping him "tap" his trees.  Maybe that's where my love of it comes from, who knows.

I do know that when my cousin was passing through, he and his wife stayed with us for a day or so and about two weeks later, we receive a "thank you" in the mail - a huge jug of Vermont Maple Syrup.

Love the water fall picture.  And, I want to know where the Maple Museum is so I can volunteer there when I retire (if they give out samples)  :)

I was hoping somone has seen or heard of it and would like to engage in a conversation about it. That's the  type of response I was looking to get.  I mean, that's what we do here isnt it? At least I see others do it. So I had an idea that I'd like to do it too. I cant be the only one on this board to have seen it.  But thanks for the reply.

While I have heard of it, seen the trailers and snippets of parts of the movie, originally, it did not interest me at all.  Many of the guys I work with saw it and couldn't stop talking about it when it first came out.  I figured since we all have a similar warped, dark sense of humor, I would watch it. . . .

I think I made it 15 minutes before I turned it off.

Which brings us to Odin.  He was about 9 months old and it was "puppy season".  Heidi came with me a few times and sit with and help puppies socialize.  He came over and just put his head on her leg.  So the next week, I went and sat with him.

Now a little over a year, he go everywhere together.  He loves riding in the vehicles, we walk down the little main street of town, down to the pier and when we aren't out on an adventure, we usually walk 2 - 3 miles a day around the neighborhood.

I just wish he felt comfortable in the house:
