Drew Lock isn't a good quarterback. I have more trust in DiVito than Lock but they both stink. Jones marginally less so. Quarterback purgatory sucks.....

Quote from: Trench on May 17, 2024, 01:05:18 AMInteresting regarding Maye as it pertains to our own scouting dept which wanted to give up the ship for the guy. Obviously it's week one and time will tell. Interesting however
Quote from: MightyGiants on May 07, 2024, 11:20:59 AMThe funny thing is that he did have 1 INT, but it was called back due to a penalty (the penalty was not on Phillips).
While I prefer ball-hawks, I have seen DBs who are skilled at preventing completions from doing well. I think former Giant Adoree Jackson could be an example.
Quote from: MightyGiants on May 06, 2024, 03:44:18 PMand @madbadger Tracy was a WR at Iowa, so he was taught how to block even before going back to his old HS position of RB
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 05, 2024, 09:01:39 AMI agree that Taylor is better than Lock, but I have to hope that our QB play is better than last year unless we think Jones' 2023 level of play is his norm, which I don't. I'd like to believe 2024 Jones will not only be better than 2023 Jones but will also be better than 2023 Tyrod Taylor and 2023 Tommy DeVito. That's an unbelievably low bar for a $40mm a year 6th year veteran starting QB
Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on May 03, 2024, 11:45:29 AMI'm finding a certain amount of joy watching the drama unfold between CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons and the Cowboys; although, neither has been declined a 5th year option (so it doesn't really address this thread), but a good story anyway. They both want an extension and more than double what they're being paid, and looking at 30+ million per year. Jerry's in a pickle because there's nothing they can do about Dak's huge contract, who flat-out refuses to have it altered or restructured in any way in order to help out the team
Minnesota has the same problem with Jefferson, who says he won't play this year unless he's paid a salary commensurate with top WRs (30+ million per). Will probably be our problem in a few years with Nabers, LOL
