Rich You titled the thread Jones hate among sports pundits and proceeded to list one guy who was talking about Brian burns. Yes he mentioned the qb in a throwaway line but it wasn't hate.

Especially when you consider that the guy in the article talks about the team that the player is going to. Each trade the guy brings up qbs, wrs, tes, and so on for the team the player is going to so Jones wasn't singled out and wasn't the only qb discussed so you're making it into something it absolutely isn't.

I'd argue that yesterday might have been their best game at evens in this series. If not for some bad early turnovers and a bad penalty late, this series might be over. Also, the Trouba discussion has to happen sooner rather than later. He's been on the ice for something like the last 7 goals against. I don't think Rempe is just a deterrent and nothing more than that. His being in the lineup fires up the fans and the rest of the team. I don't know if you've been to a home game since his arrival, but when he is on the ice fans start immediately chanting his name and the energy level both in the stands and on the ice percolates visibly.

I'm not suggesting he is more than what he is, which is a fringe player on the outside looking in (hence his not having been active recently). I would disagree that he brings nothing additive to the table though, if that is what you are saying.

Fair enough. He could have just highlighted the offense instead of naming a player. I suspect the reason he named Jones is that the QB is the single most important player in the offense, and Jones is coming off an injury that has been known to take two seasons to fully recover from. To me, that is not necessarily indicative of "hate", but I understand your point.

Perhaps the Canes took liberties because there was no Rempe. I didn't think Bronzinski added that much, so I'd start Rempe Monday.

Ultimately the Rangers had chances to win but they came up just short. Whilst I didn't expect to win last night, I didn't see anything last night that has me worried. I fully expect Rangers to close on Monday. So much so that once we got the 2nd goal, I was quite relaxed and almost knew the 3rd would come - Igor was locked in and the high volume Canes shooters were being contained.

All in all, 3-1 through 4 is a great place to be.

For the Giants to be successful, they can't be a one read offense due to poor pass blocking.  If OL blocks successfully then DJ must read everything and let it fly.

I always do Conections first, because I like it more, and then when I get to this one I just only have so much patience haha.

Seems like a poor man's version of Mekhi Wingo, drafted this year by the Detroit Lions. If he's as "freak" of an athlete as the article says, I wonder if he could be used in "third and one" situations as a FB
