I got lucky, by first guess had all the letters, so it wasn't that hard to get the rather obscure word

Hard word this morning. Started to worry after missing it in 5, but finally hit it. Wouldn't be surprised if a few people lose their streak today

I didn't get it. I thought of the word based on the letters remaining but had to look it up, so I consider that a miss. I didn't know what this word meant. Or if I once did I certainly didn't remember this morning.  Not my area of expertise by any means.

I like that Wordle has gotten harder though. It was kind of silly when you were a virtual lock to get it in four or less most mornings.

As a kid on vacation down at the Jersey shore, tour boat rides would often point out today's word.  That's the only time I have heard it.

I had all the letters in 4 but had to think a while to find a word that matched them all. I had heard the word before, but when I entered it I had no idea what it was or meant.

My first actual guess gave me a hint of the nature of the word, still took me a little time though.  Very tricky word, well done on their part

Three for me as well today, although I had the middle three letters as greens on the second guess, which was fortunate. Wasn't overly difficult after that, but not exactly a word you say everyday.

I'm late to the party today after spending the day with the grandchildren in PA.

I took a good educated guess and got it in 4.

How to figure out your average. The United States lags far behind the best countries in the world. I don't know if we are worse because of the number of words in our database or we are not as good for another reason. I'm disappointed that my average is below the US average. I'm at 3.95.
