Since all the regulars checked in, I got lucky as my second guess had double "e".   With that knowledge in hand, the oddball word was easier to guess.

Double letters are always tough because you don't want to make your picks without eliminating as many letters as possible. I also play Quordle every day and the other day they had "onion", two "o's" and two "n's"...a pain of a word 

Quordle is run by Mirriam-Webster. There's four words to figure out and it's a once a day thing (although you can practice by hitting the practice button) and keeps stats identical to Wordle

I notice they tend to be streaky in the word choices, so today seemed more likely than yesterday's shot on the dark.
