"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

My thoughts exactly. I flew through this one this morning in record time. My third guess, "SNACK" was a lucky guess, only to be wrong but now close to the goal because I knew it had to start with SNAK(?). I spent the next 5 minutes looking at every combination of letters left, including letters that were already in the solution. Absolutely nothing made sense! SNEAKY makes sense, but it's 6 letters. SNATCH makes sense, but again, it's six letters. I put in "Y" and said, it's not even a word, but it's the only freakin letter that makes a viable sound...duhh

Yes, technically speaking, but in practical terms I'd call this closer to slang than a real word (even though it is according to Merriam-Webster).

It really feels like you just add a "y" on the end to create a new adjective.  When I guessed it, I was expecting the word to be rejected (but it was the only word that fit)

It certainly was a snafu. My third guess. And a better word for sure.

Snafu crossed my mind as well although it didn't stay there long as I use ADIEU on every first guess, so the U was eliminated early for me.

It's interesting to me to hear how everyone thinks when they work their way through a WORDLE puzzle  :ok:
