According to Over The Cap--the Giants at$991K  are last in the league

How is JS going to operate for the rest of the season if he doesnt make some moves prior to the trading deadline??

By simply adding a void year to a contract that has a signing bonus on it.

If the Giants lose today, then they are likely to trade away players and open up cap space.  If they win, then a contract will have to be reworked to borrow more future cap money.

Rich: Yes, today COULD be a "tipping point."

From a coaching perspective, playing well but losing is still "good enough" (especially inasmuch as a loss does not mathematically eliminate the Giants from anything) and would provide fodder on which to build continued team improvement, learning and acquiring experience for next year, regardless of the playoff situation.

From a management perspective, losing is crucial (imasmuch as it "all but" eliminates the Giants from anything more than sneaking in like they did last year).  Combine a loss to the Jets with Jones' neck problem will likely require what you said (or more), but not necessarily (we don't know everything the GM knows, especially about Jones).  But I'm leaning in your direction as a guess.

PS. From a "purely numbers" perspective, I yield to the superior knowledge of yourself (and most of our other members). LOL
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!
