I never came away from a Michigan game thinking JJ was the reason they won.

Quote from: uconnjack8 on January 15, 2024, 03:52:52 PMCould this blow up and cause Daboll to be fired in a few weeks?

Absolutely.  By the end of this week, in fact.

Quote from: MightyGiants on January 15, 2024, 03:39:04 PMWhen seeking a true accounting when it comes to feuds, there is almost always fault from both sides (not equal fault, but usually both sides contributed).  So when you get an article like this which is 100% negative of Daboll and 0% critical of Wink, you have to think PL's sources were in Wink's camp, so to speak.

But at this point, anything Wink did is irrelivant.  I don't care what he did. He's gone.  We're talking strictly about Daboll now and if these things are true - and it's been written in too many places for me to believe otherwise and now this article contains that quote about the D losing the Washington game (reported by more than one person in the building) - this is a huge problem....and it doesn't sound like something Daboll can just turn off. It sounds to me like a fatal flaw in a Head Coach.

Wow! This reads like a true account, coming from many leaks inside the building - and not just Wink. There is a Daboll quote, horrible if true, that is too specific to be made up. It's also in line with a bunch of other accounts with the same story - Daboll's lack of emotional maturity and tendancy to lash out in tight moments.

Now that all this toothpaste is out of the tube, how does Daboll come back from this? Does he make some private apologies and vow to do better?  What he's doing is simply not sustainable going forward.

I also wonder of the Giants know they have a problem and are leaking this stuff around, greasing the skids for Daboll's exit.

What the Giants are worried about and what they will use every NFL rule to stop is Wink going down I-95 to the Eagles.

None of the above.  Tyrod is greatly respected by his teammates.  I have read that some were not happy that he didn't start when he was healthy and ready to play.  After coming off the bench and providing a spark and being clearly more effective than Tommy D, Daboll would risk losing the locker room if he didn't give the job back to Taylor.

NFL Gameday doesn't give you all the games live, does it?  My understanding is that Youtube has exclusive rights, just as Direct TV did in past years, no?

Big Blue Huddle / The Season Ticket On Youtube

In a word, SUCKS!  It takes way too long to load and it's always delayed.  Sometimes the game on Youtube is an entire series behind the live action.  I've given up trying to switch from one game to another, simply because it takes too GD long!  You want to check out another game during a commercial break?  The commercial will be over and several plays run by the time the other game loads!  You spend a lot of time looking at a blank screen waiting for a game to pop up.  Very frustrating.

And I've noticed even the network games are a play or two behind Red Zone!  I'll have a network game on one TV and Red Zone on the other and inevitably, Red Zone will show a TD or major play in the game I'm watching, a play or two before it comes up on the "live" game!  Kinda takes the suspense out of the "live" game you're watching!

And that's for a network game. Red Zone is WAAAAY ahead of any Youtube game.  I paid for the Season Ticket on Youtube this year.  I won't do it again.

I'm in Charlotte County, Florida, just north of Ft Myers.  I would LOVE to know why we're the only speck outside of Chicago/Cleveland area that's getting Bears-Browns, instead of Chiefs-Pats!

The Packers are playing better than the 6-6 record would indicate and Jordon Love suddenly seems to "get it".....but I actually think the Giants will play a sprited game Monday night and keep it close, right around the number.  I'm putting the Packers on a 3 team tease, getting 3.5....or even a 4 team tease, getting 5.5.

Jesus, that was ugly last night.  My wife and I are flying up from FLA for Christmas week and along with our daughter, going to our first Ranger game in 10 years!  Dec 23, against those same Buffalo Sabres.  Paid a stupid amount of $$ for three halfway decent seats but who knows when we'll get to do it again?

But as I watched last night, I couldn't help but think, if they lay a turd like this on 12/23, against same opponent, I'm gonna be sick!

Michigan coaches certainly didn't have a ton of confidence in the QB today.  They relied entirely on their defense and running game.

Sounds like the coach jumped on them pretty good after the Minnesota game, with the message, "not having Fox and Chytil had less to do with the loss than sloppy play from everyone else", and the team responded, coming out on fire.  Next he can work on sustaining that energy for three periods.
