He's a pretty good blocker.

Quote from: uconnjack8 on April 29, 2024, 03:06:57 PMI thought that's what Daboll was referring to with his comment about Wink's "read and react defense" compared to the more aggressive style of Bowen.
Quote from: uconnjack8 on April 29, 2024, 03:02:27 PMNot surprised by no OL in the draft given the amount of past draft capital and current FA signings.
I was somewhat surprised by no DT being taken. Just assume that the guys they liked were picked prior to the rounds they had them slotted. Curious what some of the DTs outside of Lawrence will look like in a 1-gap system.
Quote from: Painter on April 29, 2024, 02:21:12 PMNeither can it help, so why bother with such overweening nonsense which serves no purpose for anyone other than for the supposed special purpose messenger. Can't we do better than waste time with such stuff even if time wasting is about all we can do presently?
Cheers!
Quote from: LennG on April 29, 2024, 12:23:38 PMMark Bavaro is my second all-time favorite Giant. What I see in this video is something that was a staple in the Giants' offense for all the years Simms and Bavaro were there, that deep seam pass up the middle and it always seemed to have worked. I have been crying, begging, and shouting as to why the Giants don't use that play today.
Quote from: LennG on April 29, 2024, 12:19:28 PMThree people to replace one, really doesn't seem like a good deal to me. Barkley did it all and now we have 3 others to replace him.
Quote from: LennG on April 29, 2024, 12:16:05 PMI was going to start another thread on a thought I had, but let's run it hear.
Many people have said and it is true, that Eli started out very poorly also. Thinking, about what really helped Eli become a much better QB, Plax and his ability to catch all the misguided passes that Eli threw to him. I'm sure there were many, but mostly I remember Plax using all his 6'whatever frame and arms to haul in many passes that were overthrown, underthrown, etc. Could Nabers be the Palx for Jones?
Most know and I won't deny it, I would like anyone other than Jones to be our QB, but he is our QB and I would never root for him to fail. If Nabers can do for Jones what Palx did for Eli, maybe there is hope out there.
Quote from: TDToomer on April 29, 2024, 11:57:11 AMIf it was Love who broke his hand during a bye week you could just reverse their names in what you wrote. Love would have become the persona non grata no one wanted to re-sign, and not McKinney. Giants fans turn on their own so quickly.
Quote from: TDToomer on April 29, 2024, 11:51:24 AMI am not as hung up on the money aspect as others here. I just think 35 is ancient for non kicker/punters/QBs and that role can be filled by a guy still in his 20's.
