Actually they still make Rheingold in Brooklyn NY. Not in these cans though. I found this in the attic of my house that a construction worker must have left when it was being built.

I remember when I was a kid my dad drinking Stegmaier, I think because it was dirt cheap. The Baer & Stegmaier Brewery was originally opened in 1857 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. It merged with Lion Brewery in 1974 and while Stegmaier is still being brewed by Lion, I have no idea if they're using the original recipe.

My father drank Standard Dry Ale. Don't know if it was just a local beer.
I remember Black Label beer was popular back then.
