Which validates his role as Jets QB. Political thread and I'm locking it.

I do waffle after eight pm while watching TV. I do Wordle while having coffee usually after catching up with email and social media tags. I'll do Connections and other games at my leisure and downtime.

Depending on the call or text, missing an important call can not only cost me thousands of dollars, but other people as well who rely upon me to handle matters of importance. There are times however when I know there is nothing urgent pending. Then it can wait, but the phone usefully sits on the table unless it's a formal setting.

Texting has become an integral tool in business communication for me and my industry.

I understood your position Lenn, it's a retirement mentality. However if I'm having lunch with you and an important call comes in, I will excuse myself and leave the table. My friends and family understand this.

Reading Facebook, the BBH, and  scrolling email at a dinner table or social gathering is an awkward pause that people have developed as habit. Unfortunately we have become 24/7/365 engaged. I agree that it is rude if it isolates someone else. Unfortunately it's all socially acceptable.

Quote from: katkavage on March 12, 2024, 05:02:35 PMThe Giants can wait until 2025 or 2026 to get out of QB hell. But can we?
I walked away from my seat licenses after 2019 and I haven't looked back. I have a lot more patience not having skin in the game.

The hype of a draft class a year before its prime is a red flag. So I would watch and see the progress the 2025 class makes.

As for this class, I think you need to look at the teams that Draft them and then evaluate if they can nurture and develop them. There are 8 QBs that have potential. They can thrive or fail based on their effort and the right mentors.

Quote from: ozzie on March 12, 2024, 04:44:45 PMI don't hate this move. Locke will be a solid, low cost backup.
All kidding aside, he's a likable guy and should prove to be a positive influence in that QB room. Good arm and can be physical past the LOS. I would be willing to speculate that Daboll is thinking he can correct his mechanics and accuracy issues. He has nice height and sees the field well. He fits the Mara profile of a Lilly white, good looking kid.

Ric may be right, don't be disappointed if they pass on QB at six.

They could have had Flacco.

Tommy Cutlets should beat him out.

It's a flat contract with not a lot of fully guaranteed money. The Giants can get out in two years if he fails to perform as paid.

Let's look at this again mid season.

As I read this, the fully guaranteed after the first two years is a $25.75 out.
