Did something else happen ?
Quote from: Jclayton92 on March 12, 2024, 10:45:56 AMOjulari may thrive and be healthier as the back up to both burns and thibsHis FA price just dropped too. If that's not an incentive, he's not paying attention.
Quote from: uconnjack8 on March 12, 2024, 10:21:38 AMIts not a rebuild when you are splurging on the 1st day of FA. Its an attempt to become relevant quickly. Rebuilding teams generally don't trade 2nd day picks for the right to sign a guy to a huge contract. Get ready to party like its 2016.I would hardly call any of those signings except for Burns a splurge. They look like plugs for obvious holes and not nearly the best players on the Market. Let's see how the contracts break down.
Quote from: MightyGiants on March 12, 2024, 09:51:05 AM33rd team is an excellent resource, I am not sure why people are saying the information they are creating is misleading (I was also told their stat on RB contracts, on another thread, was misleading)Interesting how you replace context with misleading. I didn't think it was intentional, just sensational. You could be right though. Another matter of semantics. The context however could validate the veracity of the statement.
While the 33rd team has become a bit more fan-friendly, it's still one of my favorite resources. I have a hard time believing any of the stuff they put out was intended to mislead.
Quote from: Philosophers on March 12, 2024, 09:25:31 AMIt's all about those Guards IMHO. If they fail like our previous Guards, disaster. What do you see as the difference in an Edge Rusher in a 3-4 and a Pass Rusher DE in a 4/3? I ask because it's the second time you made this comment. So comparing Jenkins, Strahan, Kiwi, Osi to Ojulari, Thibs and Burns, don't they all have the same responsibilities as a Pass Rusher, containing the edge and Zone dropbacks? A hand in the dirt?
Burns success depends on the scheme. He was less successful as a 3-4 OLB than as a 4-3 DE.
Quote from: MightyGiants on March 12, 2024, 08:12:08 AMI am curious: are you trying to make yourself the most disliked person on the forum, or is this just coming naturally to you?Good advice, Rich. Quite frankly, I'm the only reason he/she is still here. But my patience is wearing thin.
Usually, successful newcomers make an effort to fit in and get along with the people they plan on talking football with.
