Yes, yes, it does.  I trimmed topics down to try and speed things up.  Although I suspect the problem lies with the hosting company and their periodic slow down issues

I wondered if some of the quoted responses with huge attachments from Twitter or multiple quotes might have something to do with it.

I don't think that is the issue.   It only seems slow some of the times one posts.  Otherwise it seems to be okay.  This is similar to the last time we had an issue

One of the players on another group lost his streak today after having the first three letters by three tries. He said there were too many possibilities.

That's the only aspect of the game I am not that fond of, the luck aspect.  You can often have more words than choices and it's a matter of luck which one you pick.
