MHJ skipped all the Combine work (the onfield work and the press interview) and how his Pro Day.   Does that give anyone pause if he is available to the Giants at 6?

IMO he will still be the first WR taken and likely will go 1, 2, 3, or 4.

I have heard some pretty knowledgeable draft people say that MHJ being the first WR off the board isn't a sure thing.   Some teams reportedly have the WRs in different orders that don't have MJH at the top.

is it a height thing?  I can see that for some teams/coaches.  but IMO he's the least likely bust in this draft.

Rich,

I wonder if their concerns are related to his ceiling. Meaning, is he pretty much a finished product?  My only reason for wondering that is that he has had one of the best to ever play teaching him his entire life.  And Marvin Harrison, wasn't necessarily the best physical talent (and he had plenty of that), but he ran perfect routes and was about as polished a WR as one can be.

So are scouts and FO people thinking there is more room for Growth for Odunze or Nabers?

I have never heard an explanation other than the top 3 would all normally be considered WR 1 in most drafts.  Since they are all very talented the explanation seems to be that the order is more a matter of preference or what a team values in a WR.

Looking NFL.com Lance Zeirlein has them all rated pretty close with Odunze being #3. When it's close like that, you are bound to have some that rank them differently.

I read that and I think Evan Neal.  All Everything in college at top football program but who got exposed in NFL for his failing which may have come out in workouts.

President Rick

given the almost sure taking of 3 qb's in the top five, one of those top 3 WR's would be there at pick six [unless we trade back]

Rick,

From everything I am hearing, there could be 4 QBs going top 5 so either one or two of the big three WRs should be available to the Giants

If this is true then MHJ doesn't have anything to worry about. But I've also heard that some teams may view Nabers as WR1 due to his explosiveness.

It's funny, I often hear about top prospects working out at their Pro Days just to bring the top brass and scouts from NFL teams to the Pro Day.  The idea is that the superstar does this to help out his less talented teammates as they get to do their workout in front of more important people.

Yeah I think that's the case for smaller schools.  I'd assume it's not a problem at OSU's Pro Day to get the top NFL folks out there.

According to Breer

" Will be relatively quiet in Columbus, with so many high-end draft prospects choosing to stay in school, no GMs or HCs scheduled to be there."

Interesting and thanks for info- didn't realize OSU didn't have it's usual slate of prospects this year.  Very unusual!
