That's a dirtbag move. When they hire their next coach and he decides he wants someone else it'll be too late for him.

He's arguably the hottest young OL coach in the league and he is under contract. Any new HC in Atlanta will be told that Ledford is staying and if they have a brain they really should be delighted to hear it.

I thought that a team could deny interviews only if it was considered a lateral move?   Couldnt the Giants tag on asst coach to his title and make it an upward move?

Dan - I believe the NFL has caught onto that move as a sham and is not approving it.

I think the best four OLs are the Eagles, Lions, Colts and Falcons.  Look at how they coached up many of their OL.  Love to see the Giants consider a longtime assistant OL coach maybe from one of these four who learned and is ready to be the OL coach of the Giants.

The league careful defines what is considered a promotion to prevent these sort of shenanigans

Absolutely, a good O-line coach is worth their weight in gold.   Having him in place only adds to the appeal of the Falcon's coaching job
