Quote from: Ed Vette on Today at 03:03:35 PMDaboll and Jalin deny it. I hate it when reporters start $hit.

"Never told me that," Daboll told reporters. "Jalin is probably one of the closer guys I am with on this team. You should ask Jalin."

Might be time to add Ranaan to the troll list.

Apparently Hyatt didn't say anything about wanting to be traded. I'm sure more will come out.

Quote from: AZGiantFan on September 19, 2024, 10:27:59 AMMy point was more of if you're set at LT maybe don't draft a LT

That's a point I agree with.

Quote from: AZGiantFan on September 18, 2024, 11:15:26 PMIt'd be an even bigger shame if another team plays him at LT and he thrives.
If we weren't set at LT, then I'd agree with you. It doesn't make sense to move the only stable player from the most important position and give it to a guy who has done nothing but struggle in his professional career.

Quote from: brownelvis54 on September 18, 2024, 05:49:59 PMNeil was pretty good at left tackle while in Alabama my way of thinking is body mechanics wise. Put them at left guard since he was successful at left tackle on the left side to give him every chance he can be successful. I think left guard would Give him the best chance. I would do anything I could put them anywhere on the line so that he doesn't turn out to be a bust. We draft them so high in the first round it would be a shame.
It would also be a shame if another team plays him at either guard position and he thrives.

OK - I don't what's going on with you guys but it's already getting tiring and I haven't suspended/banned anyone in a while.

Disagree with each other all you like but the personal call outs and attacks need to stop immediately.

Quote from: PSUBeirut on September 18, 2024, 09:02:22 AMuh yep.  And I'm sure it won't be the last time, although I'm also just as sure there won't be any threads here from the same folks that don't care when he rings it up like last week.

It takes a good, bitter amount of GIants fan bias to blame that one drop on the Eagles losing.  When the play should never have been called, when the Eagles let Kirk Cousins walk down the field in less than a minute to score a TD, and then when all Hurts needs is a FG and promptly throws a game-ending INT.  And that's just the screwups in the last 2 minutes.
I'm still a Saquon fan but if we're being honest, his hands aren't the best. He's had plays like that for us as well and he stonehands the ball.

Additionally, if he catches that ball, the rest of your post doesn't happen. He effectively ends the game with a catch, even without getting a first down.

Quote from: JT39 on September 18, 2024, 04:47:25 AMYawn...

I would normally PM you but since I've already addressed your interactions with the other folks you've had contentious commentary with, consider this your last warning.

Take that nonsense to the other boards you came from. It's not welcome here.

Quote from: Fletch on September 17, 2024, 01:12:48 PMYes he's a loser and and always will be and amen? Says who? You?

I should save this post and discredit your future posts with it like you do mine. Not to mention you put words in my mouth;   were made under the emotion of a game day thread. And so long ago I completely forgot.

What a ridiculous take and , will be laughable when he's hoisting a Lombardi over his head ; maybe soon. He won't be the reason why they didn't get one.
@Fletch I said to let it go. There won't be a third time.

Quote from: katkavage on September 17, 2024, 12:53:07 PMWill the Browns defense make him comfortable?
Depends on how well the line protects him.

Quote from: AZGiantFan on September 17, 2024, 12:15:12 PMNot just PTSD from his recent OLs, he's still knocking off rust and looking for rhythm after the long injury layoff.    Look at Rodgers, coming after sitting for a year with injury and hasn't passed for 200 yards in his first 2 games.
Exactly. It's gonna take a few more games for him to get comfortable.

Two games in, it's definitely not looking good.

I'm in no rush to judge, especially since it's still early in the season. By mid-October, we should have a good feel for what they will be for the rest of the season.

Quote from: Trench on September 17, 2024, 10:25:18 AMI can envision wonderful over the middle throwsnto both Bellinger and Theo. It's frustrating as hell they won't even "attempt" it
With a new offensive line, Jones is in "PTSD rehab" to gain trust in his line. It's going to take a few more games of solid protection for him to get comfortable.

Week 1 had him running into sacks because he didn't think the pocket was going to hold. Week 2 he did much better in not looking to cut and run.

Bricillo and his boys are, so far, showing promise and delivering what we expected. Let's pray for continued progress and good health.

Quote from: Trench on September 17, 2024, 10:18:58 AMI didn't mean to imply it was ever about the TE position previously. What I mean is the middle is wide open and soft and Jones can easily and effectively make those passes. Much like Mahomes does, use the middle to open up the rest. I believe it will really give him confidence as a QB. It happened many years ago with Phil Simms. Once he utilized the TE (Bavaro and Mowatt) he really took off and began to look "different". People forget that fans wanted Simms out of this town for a long time. He changed when he gained confidence and his TE guys and of course the oline and RB were a big part of that
I get it. My point was that once he first gains confidence in the line, the rest of his game *SHOULD* fall into place, to include finding the TEs.
