Rempe got all of 4 minutes TOI.  I understand benches get shorter in the playoffs and in fact, Carolina had 2 with 6+ minutes of TOI. Tough to mess with a winning formula but would PL contemplate swapping Brodzinski for Rempe?

Was a bit busy today, so finally able to sit down and post.

HOLY FUCKING $H!T!!!!!  His first goal was all Wennberg keeping the play alive in the corner while waiting for help.  Plays like that don't get enough credit or attention.

First Panther goal was just a mess.  Miller needs to tie up the stick, but Igor was also a disaster on that goal.  Moving the wrong way, if he was moving the right way, maybe puck gets deflected into him.  But he did play a great game.  2nd goal, was just a very good play on Orlov's part, but Fox needs to be more aware.  Think Fox is hurt more than being let on.  Seems to be laboring out there. 3rd Florida goal, a lot like 1st was a grear play by Aho, to keep play alive.  A lot like Wennberg's play.

Panarin's penalty in OT is all on Trouba.  He drifts in, then tries to be a human bowling ball and a 2-on-1 happens the other way.  I am not one of those people that thinks Trouba sucks, but he has to be smarter.  A lot of people overreacting to the picture of him flying over Necas.  People need to watch the whole thing before commenting.

Wondering if I was the only one yelling for the announcers to STFU every time they spoke about Carolina not scoring on PP.  After game, I texted a few friends and said "You do know Carolina is scoring on their first PP on thursday night, right?"  Psyched for tomorrow.  Win tomorrow and your really step on their throat, but the series is far from over.

True. But as to the specific interview I referenced, the Buffalo guy was asked about a Daboll offense, what Giants fans might expect, etc. and he mentioned speed at WR

Quote from: H-Town G-Fan on May 08, 2024, 04:49:45 PMSome around here have argued he was top-10 in 2022, largely based on his QBR that season (he was 6th and largely so due to running contribution). But to me, 2022 would not be good enough in 2024 because it would be a "top-10" season by efficiency. Again, my point was that it hinges somewhat on the "top-10" season we're talking about. If 2024 is like 2022, that "top-10" performance doesn't do the trick.

Hi,

May I ask a hypothetical question.

Let's say he puts up similar numbers to his 2022 season, and the Giants make the NFC conference finals but lose that game.

Do they bring DJ back the following year?

Curious your thoughts?

Will the 2024 Giants, opening day, be "better" (NOTE: quantify "better" as you please) than the opening day 2023 Giants, and why?

Now, how does that play into answering the original question posed in this thread?

Discuss, please.

Peace!

OK, I'll ask the question.

When the time (eventually) comes, which half of Giants' ownership is going to sell out to a Private Equity Fund(s) FIRST?

Talk amongst yourselves.

Peace!

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 08, 2024, 05:33:06 PMI respectfully beg to differ. Last August there were people on this board arguing that the Giants were going to be "something special this year." I don't think any of those folks, or even a number who were less emphatic but still cautiously optimistic, would have told you last August that the Giant would go 0-5 in those five games.

Hi Dave,

This is not to challenge you in any way, but I do remember there were quite a few posters saying that the Giants could actually be a better team in 2023, but their record may actually be worse.

The reason why they were saying that was because the first six games of the season were absolutely brutal, and they were.

The schedule didn't begin to soften until week seven.

By the way this doesn't justify the poor record that they had, or the year, so please carry on.

Quote from: spiderblue43 on May 08, 2024, 04:52:56 PMI remember how our best weapons was punter Dave Jennings and the D in the 70s.

You talk about godawful offenses, those mid 70s teams were as bad as you could get. Terrific players Brad Van Pelt and Brian Kelley never got the success they deserved.

My idol!

Quote from: uconnjack8 on May 08, 2024, 06:25:39 PMI think for many of us, the 1st game was a slap back to reality.  It would have been one thing to lose,  but to look completely outclassed was a different story.

Yup. That game was a complete fiasco. One of the worst performances in franchise history if not the worst. We looked like an expansion team going up against the defending SB champs in that game. Even worse than that, actually. More like a college team playing a good NFL team.

We were only a 2 or 3 point underdog in that game too, and many people were backing the Giants.
