Big Blue Huddle

What should boggle everyone's mind is that it's 2023 and the Giants are still dealing with the same positional weaknesses from several years ago.  That happens when instead of rebuilding correctly you're worrying about Barkley's contract, you're bringing in a 31 Waller and you hand a bunch of money to a QB who has proven nothing.  You cannot build on top of a crap foundation.   

Someone tell Daniel Jones and the Giants coaching staff that Waller is 6'6".  Throw it and let him go up and get it.  It's like having Mike Evans and not using his height advantage over mostly all defenders.

Maybe get the ball to Waller on a quick pass instead of some dumb predictable play that a college team could've stuffed.

Let's face it.  Through four games and sixteen quarters the Giants have been watchable for only two.  Unless a miracle happens that's probably not going to change over the next two weeks.  That's unless you have an interest in watching the likes of Josh Allen and Tyreek Hill play.

I don't remember in this team's first two home games only three points being scored.  That's not a little step backwards.  That's an entire offense looking like it needs to be rebuilt. 

Perhaps there's some greater plan beyond this season that we're just not seeing.  That several players will be moved out.  I just don't see why they would get a Darren Waller and not have him be a ten plus target guy for Jones.  What's his purpose here?  To be ignored and not utilized?

The lack of discipline and seemingly never being prepared to play falls directly on the coaching staff.  Daboll needs to worry about getting a handle on that first and foremost.  This will become more difficult when they're looking at very likely being 1-5.

There seems to be nonexistent talent evaluation leading to constant mediocrity. 

The bottom line is in two home games they have scored a total of three points.  With Miami and Buffalo on the horizon this isn't going to get any better.  While it's not all his fault and the line is putrid.  When things go wrong Jones collapses with the rest of the team.

It's not all his fault but he's hardly showing any signs of being more than mediocre.

Maybe more people will wake up to the fact that Jones is god awful.

I don't want to hear about rebuilding and taking a step backwards.  They are looking like the worst team in the NFL.

This is just a terrible team.  I'm quickly losing confidence in this head coach as well.

They should score against Seattle but the question is how many points Seattle puts up. 

The Jets were terribly overrating themselves even with Rodgers.  They're not as good as they or their fans thought. 

RIP Jim.  It's funny that of all posts leading into games I always thought his weather post stood out the most.  Everyone's kind words definitely show the man Jim was.
