So you're saying it's the QB job to block and run routes? That's just silly.

The giants OL without Thomas and the skill players without Barkley is arguably the worst in the league. Waller might be the only average player on the OL/skilled players. And he has stunk this year.

Expecting Jones to raise the level of play from these players is silly but I'm sure he will be blamed when we lose.

That can't be an excuse this year he got paid knowing if he did so it'd be to the expense of other positions. the line held up the entire back half of the cards game so it should be fine for a pedestrian Seahawks D line. Also they only do separation on completed passes and Jones won't throw down field so how much separation you think these guys can get on a 6 yard out?

Investing as much cap space into the QB position took away cap space from the surrounding players that according to your logic are more important than the QB position itself.

Then again the QB position isn't that important by your logic and shouldn't be taking up the most cap space on the roster.

Do you consider every injury in a vacuum?  Thomas' injury is important; however, it's lessened this week as a byproduct of the Giants playing a team with limited pass-rushers. To that end, Thomas' replacement will be matched against a player with similar skill-sets; thus, it's not as detrimental as other weeks...this may be the best week to absorb said injury. Fortunately, thr Giants are not playing the Cowboys and M. Parsons...that would be a significant blow.  It's a fairly simple concept...
