Quote from: Painter on Today at 09:50:53 AMEither you're missing the point, or prefer less candor when it comes to taking exception to those who are so singly invested in the relentless bashing of Daniel Jones and ridiculing of the team for his presence.

By no means has been it a one-off or a "fool me once" failure-rooting exercise to which I am taking exception. If you don't like it, you can tsk, tsk about it all you like without having to whine to teacher. What do expect them to do, spank the armadillo?

Cheers!

Your post makes no sense to me whatsoever. I have no ill will towards whatever you believe or root for. I simply ask you for the same courtesy.

Malik Nabers and his former LSU teammate Jayden Daniels (selected 2nd overall) have confirmed across a couple podcasts that they have a 10k wager on Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Well written article and candidly points out how desensitized young players are now with regards to gambling.  They've grown up in an environment where it was a laughable offense to now where it's totally legal.  The NFL does NOTHING to discourage gambling, they saw free money and they took it and yet try to hold players to a standard that belies how complicit they are.  They slapped a few players with suspensions a few years ago and have since moved the goal-posts and changed the rules.  I don't know that anything will become of this, but shame on Malik Nabers for not knowing the rules.  Shame on him for unabashedly and publicly admitting to gambling.  Shame on Nabers and Daniels for making 5 figure bets in a profession they ultimately have not proven themselves in and their lifetime earnings may not reflect what they think they're going to make.  And shame on the NFL for not better educating players on the policy.

I think for the money he is paid, 4200+ yards, 35 TD's, 10 picks, only 2 lost fumbles and 5 rushing TD's would be my expectation. (somewhere around Jared Goff/Brock Purdy neighborhood give or take) Winning and losing is a team effort, so that aside, if I see these numbers, he's earned his bag in my view.

Yesterday, on Disney, they released a film that hasn't been shown in over 50 years. 'Let It Be' is a movie that hasn't been shown anywhere for 50 years and now, restored is being shown on Disney starting yesterday.
Since we are true die-hard Beatles fans and will gobble up anything new about them, we grabbed our after-dinner snacks and sat down to watch and we weren't disappointed.

We had previously watched the 3-part (6 hour I believe) film by Peter Jackson, "Get Back" which we also loved but there were parts in Get Back that really could have been eliminated and probably 3 hours would have been sufficient, but now, with Let It Be, basically 90 minutes telling how and showing most of the Beatles last concert on the rooftop, was superb.

If you are a Beatles fan, this is Can't Miss TV.

Former PSU guy (and almost singlehandedly responsible for Christian Hackenberg being drafted in round 2 by the Jets, so I've always appreciated that...).  Very good receiver early on in his career and now nothing more than a possession vet/locker room guy because of age and injuries.

I will forever love him just for this play against Michigan:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9qsVkDEQeU

Earlier in his career he averaged over 17 yards/reception for a season or two..  Last year was by far his lowest in that stat with 8.2.
