Hard for me to look at this and not think the Giants and their poor play largely contributed to the other teams having statistically good offenses and defenses.

Yes they have played good teams, but they have looked like they don't even belong on the same field.

Exactly. And the one bad team they played they nearly lost to.

Great call on the Giants' being responsible for their chart rating than any other factor.

A scary thought!

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Not sure what this chart is based on but I assumed scoring/scoring differential was part of it.  In the 4 games they lost they were outscored 125-31.  Certainly a help to Dallas and Miami who have blow losses on their record.

It's been the perfect storm of difficult schedule, injuries, poor play and weaknesses being exposed.

To the point about playing the Giants giving other teams a boost, I couldn't help but notice with the exception of the Cardinals, all the Giants' opponents are in the facing bad offenses and bad defenses quadrant.

Dallas, San Fran, Philly, and Miami are all in the quadrant of playing teams with "bad defense, bad offense"...no surprise that three of them played the Giants to start the season...which probably pushed them into that category. Next week, the Bills will be in that quadrant
