The Front Porch / Re: Database of "Canceled" People

The tape absolutely confirms what he said. Instead of getting angry just listen to the tape. The principle agreed it makes these kids feel bad about themselves. You always get angry at anything you don't agree with and criticize the messenger. There may be a million cases that support your position but that doesn't make this case wrong. Just listen to the tape it is undeniable. Do you have kids? Would you want your kids to feel bad about something they had no part in, I certainly don't.

I think this is a great idea and would be interested to see the results. I brought up the story about Critical race Theory last week and the math teacher who wrote an article about it. He was fired less than a week later.  The school said he distorted their words but he has now released a tape with the principle agreeing with him. Let the cases speak for themselves I would love to see it.

Mighty i don't understand your response, are you saying that CRT does not exist?  The teacher was a 20 year veteran of the school and a math teacher. The parent wrote an articulate email outlining his concerns. I myself had little knowledge of CRT and wondered if someone here had. Or maybe your mail is not about CRT I'm not sure.

The Front Porch / Critical Race theory
April 18, 2021, 11:53:30 AM
There were 2 stories this week on CRT. One involved a math teacher and the other a parent. They were 2 different schools in Manhattan that are considered elite and are quite expensive. Both men wrote letters that were highly critical of the teaching and implementation of CRT in the schools. The main objection, IMHO, was that CRT was overwhelming traditional teaching methods and made race front and center in any discussion. It also stated the schools were not interested in Listening to different opinions. I'm not sure if anyone here saw this but i was quite surprised to hear the details of this theory and the dismissal of any counter opinion by the schools. I am interested if anyone here has heard about this and what they're feelings are.

MLB is moving the All Star game to Colorado. Colorado has 2 less early voting days than Georgia. MLB Commissioner Manfred has not said if he will give up his membership to Augusta National, also in Georgia. The voting odds are against it.

I disagree with the move completely, but I disagree more with how the issue is presented. As for Delta and Coke ,Delta was in a group that was presented with the plan and agreed to it prior to enacting. Delta changed their tune after receiving pressure, that's not strength it's weakness. I honestly don't see how this change inhibits anyone from voting. Georgia has more days for early voting than both Delaware and New Jersey. If requiring a picture ID is a problem I don't see it. MLB, Delta and Coke can do as they want but it will impact my choices.

All the information is not being reported which is why they are investigating. If what you said were true we wouldn't have locations with a 100% infection rate. I don't know the requirements but I heard on the news this morning that they were required to report negatives. I also think you overlooked the largest determining factor in the death rate which is the different treatment of Nursing Home residents in the 2 states.

That's what i mean, you always look at it from a point of view you already have. It's almost as if you hope it's bad to prove your point. If the rate is lower than being reported and people are not dying due to what you stated and other things, that's good isn't it?  I don't view this as a contest. I hope someone gets an answer soon and I don't care who it is.

Rich all I was saying is that there are major inconsistencies in the numbers that need to be investigated. You always talk about verification but in any news that runs contrary to your opinion you label it false and untrue. Let it play out. It might be insignificant or it could be a big change.

Decisions are being made on these numbers, such as school reopening. They may have to go back over everything. I haven't been tested but I heard they fingerprint so they may be able to do it. Something is very wrong when multiple sites report 100% positive.

Before everyone makes a judgement, you may have to wait. There is evidence of massive errors in Florida's reporting. They have discovered that many labs were not reporting any negative results which increases the positive percentage. They are also reporting that a significant number of sites are reporting 100% positive results. The Orlando hospital was being reported as a 98% positive rate when the reality was 9.4%. In addition the Florida death rate is nowhere near what happened in N.Y. nor does it correlate to the positive % being reported. This will come out in the next few days with the Governor possibly discussing today.

I have only seen Ebron play live once and that was vs. Miami. He played well and was the games biggest threat. i don't get this no tight end in the first. Would teams give up a first for Graham, Davis, Gronk ( if healthy ) etc. Many say they would take a W.R but not a tight end, why? I am no draftnik but after 40 years of watching and playing I think I know if a guy can play. I think Ebron will be a star and the Giants will regret passing on him if that is the way it plays out.
