JS has a perfect out if he drafts a QB.  Jones injury history.  Jones will start when healthy, the young QB can watch and develop and if next season is another stinker with Jones at QB, they can move on.  I personally think letting a young guy sit a year isn't terrible.  I know financial considerations drive these "start right away" decisions but I think sitting for a year or part of a year to see the big picture and learn is in the better long term interest of the team.

Didn't Wink have similar issues with John Harbaugh?

ANYTIME the Giants beat the Eagles is good as far as I am concerned!  For the draft, the Bears will trade out, Cards and Chargers are keeping their QB's so probably three Qb's will go before the Giants pick.... maybe only 2 if the Commanders trade up to 1. I think the Bears keep their guy.  So Commanders, Patriots will grab QB's leaving the Giants with a shot at a top tier guy (if they want one which isn't a given).

I never had any real expectation for DeVito.  He made a crappy season a little more fun.  For that I am thankful.  My daughter was at Syracuse the same time as he was so we have a little school spirit too.  All good.  I hope he develops enough to be a backup.  That would be a big win for him and his family.

I'm loving the whole Italian Stallion show.  Great fun...he's definitely playing himself into the league.  How long it lasts?  Who knows? But he has made Giants football fun again and I will take it.  If nothing else, from a football perspective he shows where Jones falls short...he throws downfield, (more 20 yard plays) so far he makes good reads, he's growing as a player.  Same crappy line, same crappy receivers who can't get open (for Jones) yet they ARE open and he finds them, same crappy coordinator and head coach... ... Jones has way more physical talent, but DeVito has a bit more moxy, more "it" factor, more fun factor...call it what you will...and it shows with the team.

Well, the defense has to STOP them. Not chase after them like chickens in the barnyard.

No ...I disagree... they are not good.  They have been trash for so long that anything positive looks good even a win against an equally bad team. (and they tried hard to screw that up)

Agreed.  Tons of talent but misses way too many easy throws too.  Inconsistent.  Makes the right read but misses the throw...I don't believe he is very good in the 4th quarter either.

lets not forget that in two games Jones had zero and 3 points.  Tyrod did well coming off the bench and getting 9 that's about normal for the Giants 

Definite kudos to the defense.  Holding the Bills to 14 is all you can do.  If the team could score an actual TD its winnable.
