The late 60s and early 70s are almost a blank for me when it comes to sports.  In the USAF, stationed in Germany, so didn't get much for sports news. And maybe all that good beer and other good things had something to do with it too.     Without looking up the answers,  I could not even tell you if thay had a worlds series in 68.

Like Jimv said, I wish we were closer and could make it to Tomeees.  I think about you guys (and gals) on Sundays when I know you are at the stadium having your tailgate party.  Have a great time!!!

We just arrived back home after a most wonderful weekend.  I said before that the reason I was going to drive 311 miles was to meet up with the folks of this board.  If I saw a little football than that was just a bonus.

I will say that I had it dead on!!!!   I saw a little football, but the BBQ was the main course.  It was a pleasure to meet each and every one of you.  It surpassed my best expectations.  We had a great time. Thanks to you all!!!   

I also agree with Vette.  Lets hope the Giants see what a great place they have to hold training camp.

My lovely wife has asked me to ask you folks what is the attire at the Barnsider?  Shorts or casual type pants etc.

We also plan to go to the Sunday brunch as well.

But that's what I said last year when our plans fell apart due to my best friend from college and his wife showing up to stay with us on last years BBQ weekend.  I still think we'll make it down.  Just might have to take it easy.

There has been a small roadblock thrown up as to if my wife and I will be attending.  I just returned home today from a two day stay at the local hospital with a collapsed lung.  If you have never had one of those, I will tell you it's not a lot of fun.  I have a followup visit with the surgeon on Aug 5.  At this point in time I can't say for sure if I will be feeling well enough to make the trip but we are still hoping that things will be good enough to come.  I will keep our names on the list and if things go well we will see you Friday the 6th at the dinner.

Dinner on Friday night sounds like a great plan.  My wife and I hope to get to the Best Western across from the campus sometime between 3 - 5 pm.  Coming down from Maine so timing is not precise.  We are really looking forward to this.  It will be the first time I will get to meet the BBH group.
