As I recall he was only supposed to be out for 4 weeks. Hoping he's coming back soon.

How did DJs downfield passing game look even though he was no where near as advanced as a rookie QB as he is now under Shurmur and better receivers (even though they were near the league lead in least amount of separation).Actually YES, they are both doing worse.
The issue is not nearly as much the QB as it is the lack of quality receiving options.
Quote from: Jclayton92 on October 31, 2022, 02:01:59 PMThat has only thrown above 200 yards twice all season? His average completion this season is 4 yards. This offense is the way it is because of the QB under center. You can throw NFC Offensive player of the week out as much as you want but that still doesn't change the fact that this offense is horrible and Daniel Jones is a major part of the reason it is. I realize we don't have Wrs, but we don't have a QB with the arm to get it to them. His decision making has regressed and even if he had a Bellinger and a Juedy it's not changing this offense because we will still have the same QB under center. Great RB 2, not so good at the actual throwing part. And you don't believe WHO he's throwing the ball to has any relationship to those numbers. Okay.
Quote from: Rambo89 on October 31, 2022, 11:57:52 AMThe loss to Dallas in 86 was in Dallas in week 1. They beat Dallas at Giants Stadium later in the season.I stand corrected. Not sure why I thought it was the home opener. Must've been the blue jerseys.
Quote from: MagicRat on October 30, 2022, 09:25:29 PMHowever he looked today, we all know Barkley IS a game changer. My point is, that you cannot pin the poor offense on ONLY DJ today. EVERYONE looked bad, including Barkley.
Buffalo geared their entire strategy today on stopping him, yet but for three slips/stumbles/ last gasp tackles, he still has more game changing plays.
Quote from: katkavage on October 30, 2022, 08:17:54 PMBut look who the Giants have at running back. Not many QBs have a Barkley to make their job a lot easier. We need to stop making excuses for Jones. Geno Smith outplayed Jones today despite one of his star receivers dropping a TD and fumbling. He overcame that. Give him credit.Yeah Barkley looked like a REAL GAME CHANGER today!
Quote from: Rambo89 on October 30, 2022, 07:59:38 PMNo where did I say that this game makes me ignore the last few games. I'm letting the entire season play out rather than overreact to each game.I wasn't pointing that at you Rambo, I've read others who have asserted that today is who he really is.
Quote from: Rambo89 on October 30, 2022, 07:36:30 PMSure I think you can take all of this into account and still acknowledge Jones was bad today along with everyone on the offense outside of the pass blocking and Slayton.Of course he played poor compared to his previous outings, but I would not presume to say that today is indicative of who he is and just ignore the other 7 outings.
Quote from: Jclayton92 on October 30, 2022, 07:23:49 PMMan you've had some really horrible takes today. Yes Jame's fumbles were an issue, but Jones played horribly today. I'm not sure how you're defending that performance...I'm not a huge DJ fan. That being said, we were missing two starting OL, and DJ's go to in Bellinger. To make matters worse, Saquon regressed today as well with trying to dance through a hole....he also dropped a pass that was at least a 1st down.
