If he believes he's at an NFL level he will have more years to earn by entering now. So his hesitation shows he's looking for the best situations for teams that will enhance his career. There is some doubt that he will be the top pick this year and there shouldn't be any next year. Could be that too.

He comes up small in big games. He wants a % of ownership in his team. He jumps in his mother's arms and cries like a baby after a loss. He isn't just happy to be drafted high, he wants to control the landing.

A lot of red flags.

Firing McAdoo in season was probably something he regrets.

Although those four names would make a good row for a Connections game.

Am I the only one who saw Evan Neal as OUT and thought, Oh, Good!

Everyone likes taking a shot at Tommy. I'll watch now just to root for the kid. The only one who had something good to say was Daboll. Probably just a facade until Barkley is up to speed.

Quote from: Painter on November 17, 2023, 12:06:02 PMWhile I am well aware of Giants ownerships long history of nepotism and cronyism which has never served it well, I have no interest in participating in such silly, meaningless, unconstructive, conspiracy-mongering in whatever form.  :boooo:

Cheers!

I believe he's involved in GM, HC, and QB hiring decisions. I also believe he's in the Draft Planning room as an ear near the end. I also think he and the GM communicate throughout the season. I don't believe he meddles to the point where others have commented.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 17, 2023, 09:43:32 AMHe averages 20 carries a game. So 81 rushing yards (on a per attempt basis) is pedestrian compared to the rest of the league.

And if we want to blame the line that's fine, but the line sucked in 2018 too when he was averaging 5 YPC.

I agree that he's still good to very good, but he is not the player he once was.
In all fairness he is still dealing with the ankle. This Oline may be the second worst they have had this century. Second only to the 2003 line.

Quote from: MightyGiants on November 17, 2023, 09:41:28 AMHow has having Josh Allen helped the Bills?

On a related topic, it's disturbing that the team the Giants were modeling themselves after is having so many problems.
Stefan Diggs wants out. Can't imagine why. He's the primary target. Allen needs more weapons.

Quote from: AZGiantFan on November 16, 2023, 11:26:31 PMPretty much what I've been saying.  It is scandalous how they put so much in the way of resources, in both fa and draft choices, and have so little to show for it.
They had a better chance of landing one after last season. This organization is a Coach killer. Who would want to come here with a noose around Daboll's neck for what might be a one year gig?

The league and the networks have been finding ways to cultivate the female fan. This halftime interview is just one of the many ways this century.

If the Coach ducks out, it's not their fault but they should have a backup plan from the network. I don't like that she lied but she did confess. If it was me, I think I would have said that I wasn't able to connect with this HC but these are the challenges his team faces in the second half.

I'm sure most of the HCs hate that they have to comply.

The price tag for second string QBs will appreciate but teams will also be looking to develop their own and that bodes well for those deeper in the draft. The ones who can't cut it will wind up on the street. Teams can't lose their starter and become non competitive. Just one loss can kick them out of playoff contention.
