Thanks Ed. He seems to chew up zones but against man I can see where the concerns are coming from. Still, he looks like a beast after he gets the ball.
Yes, he is a beast after catch. Kind of like a smaller version of a TE. I'm wondering if he could additionally function as an H-Back or utilized as the Niners use Deebo in some sets. I would think he would be very effective in Routes out of the Backfield or Set Back and in a Pitch Out. I think JJ, Daniels or Drake would be a great combination with him. Especially JJ and Daniels.

I do have some concerns about Odunze's separation if Daniel Jones is the QB because he will hardly ever see the ball. I don't have to tell most of you here that he's a possession Receiver with flypaper hands. If a Corner was on his hip, he was open. He has short arms, so his horizontal radius is not what his vertical is. He does run crisp underneath routes and gets open along the sidelines well. under 20 yards, he finds a way to get open, especially in Zone coverage that he reads well. He's going to be that YAC Guy who makes the tough catches in big situations. The best match for him would be a QB who isn't afraid to drill in it tight windows. Penix was that guy.

It would have cost them 19mm to keep him this year and instead they got hit with a 31mm dead cap hit. If they cut him in 2025, there would have not been any dead cap hit. Do ya think they wanted him the hell out?

A six minute diatribe, followed up with a plethora of colloquialisms. It all comes down to how well you spin the ball. 😂

Good content basically affirming what we all know about these two QB's. Perhaps most pundits spend too much time on Ageism, Injury History and a few errant passes. Both these QB's are being underrated in the football universe. IMO

I'm sure Phil Simms can rank them at this point and I doubt he would change his mind. It would make the future pods anti-climactic.

Critiquing Pro-Days are good for a few morsels. But basically vegetable lasagna. Although thirty minutes with the father and son act is enjoyable. Indeed.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: The 2024 QB Class

Quote from: brownelvis54 on April 03, 2024, 08:17:52 PMFor some reason I get the feeling Maye has a strong chance of being there at 6.

I think it goes:

1- Daniels
2-Williams
3- McCarthy
After seeing a top draft pundit make drastic changes to his board on four updates, it likely happened after someone hit on some provocative evidence. The McConkey movement was significant after a recent article came out touting him. In the next three weeks more will come out and some from leads within organizations.

I think we might be getting a few   draft day one surprises.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: How would you feel about this?

If I couldn't get one of the top four QBs, I would be fine with a double trade down. I may not pick the same players but they will get a nice upgrade at more positions. They should walk away with at least four and maybe five players for their two.

Quote from: brownelvis54 on April 03, 2024, 07:59:38 PMIMO they seem to have more pro Daniel Jones fans...and believe the foundation should come first. A couple feel that if at 6 and Joe Alt is there, then we MUST draft him. I would be a little disappointed if that were to happen.
I got that from my conversations with Gordon. Seems like groups become homogeneous to some extent and it develops into group think.

Quote from: Stringer Bell on April 03, 2024, 07:09:45 PMAiyuk just turned 26 and is younger than Slayton. He almost had more yards than our trio combined, and he did have more TDs than all of them combined.

Our trio isn't in the same universe as any of the units listed in the graphic. Compared with the rest of the NFC, the only team with a worse WR trio is the Cards (which will change after they draft MHJ) and maybe the Falcons.
I'm a Brandon Aiyuk fan. He's at his peak as I said being in the league going on this fifth season. WDR and Hyatt have a lot to prove and as I said in a pivotal year. Where did I imply they were in the same Universe. Players all have their curve as do teams and the salary cap is another factor as Buffalo is facing right now. The other factors are the QB and supporting cast which did no favors for the Giants Receiving Corp.

When there is a draft Class with several QBs that show promise and a team needs a QB, it's worth the chance if they believe in that kid. If one of the top four are there at six and the Giants don't draft a QB, they better have a good backup plan.

What was the consensus at the BBWC @brownelvis54 ?

The Beatles transformed not just the music industry in revolutionary ways but were in tune with the times  and transformed culture. They wrote about love and peace, war, political issues, psychedelic experiences, and spiritual transformation. The Krishna Consciousness movement has roots that go back thousands of years but it took off in America partly due to George Harrison. The song "My Sweet Lord" is a beautiful song honoring Lord Krishna and Christians connected with it in the Jesus Movement. Songs like Revolution, Give Peace a Chance, and All You Need Is Love were powerful in the anti-war movement. Eleanor Rigby was a poetic piece about a lonely woman that touched the hearts of the listener. One of the most beautiful songs was Michelle. Hundreds of songs that to this day show they are timeless. Songs like Yesterday and Something. While My Guitar Gently Weeps was inspired by the I-Ching in that everything has its purpose and has reason. Some deep xxxx. Their music transcends any Pop Artist that appeals to a select audience.
