Big Blue Huddle / Re: Barkley to the Iggles

For me he was a non issue.

Glad he got his guaranteed money cuz he will be gone in 1 year.

Two games in the win column last season where all we needed was ONE yard.
AND he never saw the ball.

So either the HC is a buffoon.............

OR

Saquon no longer has it.

Personally I vote for both.

Who's to blame ?

It STARTS with our scouting department.

Go to Youtube and watch his senior year game vs. Clemson.

His flaws and shortcomings are right there for all to see.

Games against pansy opponents should never be considered when developing an opinion about Jones.

I personally watched 4 or 5 of his games.  And I have been sick to my stomach since the day we drafted him with the 6th pick.

A flyer in the 3rd or 4th round fine.  6th pick, well, there's a clue as to why we have stunk for sooooo long.

A TOTAL Bust that we will keep hanging on hoping.

SLOW....processes the action after the snap as slowly as Daniel Jones.

the reality what awaits to welcome them to the outside world strikes again.

Like his wife.

Hiring Shoen we had a plan for rebuild.

Then comes a "fools gold" season of 2022 and we all  but throw the plan out the window.

The time to trade Barkley and LW was midseason of 2022.

That would have taken guts in sticking with the plan.

still trying to figure out why the switch to Taylor the last 3 weeks.  THAT took no brains.

So we are left with a franchise with a fractured plan, a volatile HC of dubious decision making ability ("But the players really like him"), an OC who wants gone and a few pieces of promising, yet very unfulfilled promise.

And thus another "new" rebuild plan is put in motion.

Beware the Torts.

A desperate franchise made a very smart move in hiring him.

and he seems to have full reign in resurrecting them.

Let's hope karma stays away from our doorstep in this one.

I predict the streak will get to 13.

Quote from: AZGiantFan on February 23, 2024, 12:28:34 PMFor me, this is the crappiest kind of journalism.  "I know but I'm not going to tell you".

If you want the crappiest kind of journalism don't be surprised that it comes from the crappiest kind of journalist (in his case crap spreader is a more appropriate description of his "talents")....Craig Carton.

While what he knows may be real, this convicted felon never misses an opportunity for self promotion.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Anyone want Pugh back?

Dear lord hen Pugh and Richburg were here the first time what did they accomplish  ??

Did we fight to resign them  ?

What kind of a shagri la is this team running ??  Is the training camp food that good  ??

Can we hire scouts that beat the bushes and really work to discover even marginal NFL talent that will at least have youth on its side.

"Knee finally healthy"   ...  good for him.  That will last about 3 days into camp.

I want youth and health.  Not Pugh and Waller and any other scrapile player looking for a payday when they realize what the real world is like.

Waller...Waller....Waller....if....if....if

Jeez, a dumb move when we got him.

Dumber if we keep him.

And downright stupid for us to COUNT on him performance wise.

Another of the many reasons we are a bottom 5 team.

Pie in the sky dreams....wishin....hopin.

Enough already.

The Baby Bulls....Tucker, Koy, Thurlow, Wheelwright, Mercein.

Actually the first I watched was Phil King, but since he basically cost us the '62 Championship I have wiped his memory from my vocabulary.

Quote from: LennG on February 16, 2024, 11:14:13 AMForget all the other bull, I would take Fields for a #2 pick straight up.

The ONLY QB I see out there worth acquiring is Fields. That includes college and available NFL quarterback.

The number 6 pick and not much else should be doable.  Or you can give them Daniel Jones also, but U doubt Chicago like the rest of the NFL is that dumb.  He is our 40 million dollar albatross for this coming season.

I'd have fired him too.

Imagine not being able to stifle Patrick Mahones in the 4th quarter and overtime.

Could not even accomplish that simple assignment.

Another great reason I hate the Niners.
