I just started this today and yes, the episodes fly by. I watched 4 in one sitting without even realizing it. As Lenn said "light hearted and compelling" is a good way to describe it. Very enjoyable so far.

Lou

I just finished this series the other day and the ending blew me away. Overall I would have rated this series as a good watch but after I watched the last episode, I move it right up there with the very good. Won't give anything away, but I know you will be surprised.

Hi Lenn.

I'm with you all the way other History Channel's Lincoln documentary. It was very moving, very powerful and the acting was superb.

History has done an outstanding job with its presidential documentaries. Washington and Grant were phenomenal productions and I am very excited that Teddy Roosevelt will be their next documentary in May.

History is my favorite channel, hands down. More than anything, I am beyond obsessed with The Curse of Oak Island. This series is a childhood dream come true for me. I first learned about Oak Island through the old Leonard Nimoy series, In Search Of. I was so mesmerized at the idea of the treasure at the bottom of the pit. So glad the Lagina brothers and History gave us that show, drama and all.

Peace!

Funny I have heard so many good things about Oak Island but never got around to watching it. It is on my list though.

Objective Burma.

Great movie, but I don't think I would have gotten it from the quote.  I really forgot Errol Flynn was the star of that, I still see him as a Sea Pirate or in a western.

It's actually the last two sentences that clued me in. Have you watched the new one yet?

No I haven't.

#1 - The Matrix (Morpheus to Neo)

Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

I kind of knew you would get this. I even tried to leave out the name Neo so it might make it not a give a way, but you knew it anyway.    =D> =D> =D>

No, no.  You're way far off.  Another hint - it starred Errol Flynn.

Jim

I'm sure I saw the movie but I have no recollection of that quote so I really don't know.

You guys were great on my last batch of quotes that were not really softballs.

Here are a few more that will fall into the not really softball category    All quotes are from very popular and famous movies, not from some movie many never saw.

Dial M For Murder is my favorite Hitchcock movie Len, and I'm sure you know why.  ;)

You bet Steve.

C'mon, Lenn, think hard.  You know # 1.  It's one of the better WW II movies.  It was made in 1945.

Don't know the quote but knowing you

The list isn't in any sort of order, just who the writer thought were his 20 greatest movies.

Hitch has always been probably my favorite director and I basically love all his movies, some a lot more than others and I believe I have seen them all. (several times).

Just my own list

#1---Dial M For Murder
#2---Psycho
#3-- Vertigo
#4--Strangers On A Train
#5--The 39 Steps

A few really good ones that weren't on the list were Rope, the newer Man Who Knew Too Much, and The Paradine Case

Tough one today in that I really never even heard of this word until I looked up its meaning. Got it by sheer chance just by process of elinination

Here are a couple:

1.  "Right now I'd like to be sitting at the bar in the National Press Club in Washington surrounding a tall cold bourbon and soda."

2.  "Sometimes a little human collateral is the cost of freedom."

#2--Deja Vu
