"Moss and Okwara did not look good in LB drills.  Ed pointed out they run like they are in quicksand compared to the other OLBs"

I can't see them making the team. Martin, OV, Barwin and Carter the top 4 OLBs. Hill, Mauro, Tomlinson, are locks at End with McIntosh and Wynn vying for a spot as well.

Thanks Brian,  nicely done.  I was surprised how high em was on BJ goodson and Ray Armstrong, but skeptical on Ogltree.
He also seemed skeptical on Eli being able to carry the team
He was super excited for Saquon

Chalk Talk / Re: BBH Podcast With Patricia Traina

Pat, thanks for all your great stuff. I've always been a glass half full guy. Yet, I truly believe Flowers is not an NFL LT after the last game. I read your interview in the pre season about the issues with changing to RT or guard. Flowers has size and strength in abundance. Either he adapts to a new position or his career will be shortened in my view. When Eli was drafted, the Raiders picked the top tackle in the draft. He was a bust at tackle. However, he got s second contract a an above average guard. I think that's Flowers best option. In am hopeful we use 2 of the 3 first picks next year to rebuild the line.
Long ago, Joe Theisman said the Giants had the worst O line in football, the days of Ian Allen. Accorssi then built an o line that was one of the games best from 2007 to 2011. We had 2 1000 yard rushers, 3 successful running backs, won 2 super bowls and might have had a third if Plax wasn't a fool in 08.
Its time to put real changes and real resources up front. Till then, removing Flowers from the blind side and pushing the pocket with Fluker is the best I think we can manage.

Great stuff Ed. I'm surprised she opted to not bench Flowers when you asked what she would do with Oline. She kept Pugh at RT ( due to Hart limping) and beefed up interior with Fluker. Btw, when Jacobs declined and Bradshaw was still effective, it was because AB could threaten the edges. This team can't push the middle or threaten the edge. This is why I want Fluker at Guard, to push the middle. Myself, id put Pugh at LT

No team wants to be in a position where they need to rebuild their entire OL across every position.  I think resigning Richburg and Pugh will be a priority this offseason. They are not great players but they are certainly more stable than both tackles are.

Agree Todge. They are good, not great players. The market should determine an appropriate price. Starting over from scratch is not necessary. Adding an above average lineman at RG or LT would be a huge help.

I noticed today JT Thomas took a significant cut, a savings of around 2 million. I thought he would be an outright cut. This is good cap management. Hopefully we roll a bit towards next years needs to maintain our FAs.

Great stuff!  Thanks so much!  Pat's response about not putting a rookie at OT was a fresh perspective. I really like her reasons why a pass catching TE will help the offense.

Great stuff Ceri! (Prounounced with a K)
The first round OT prospects are intetesting. Do the Giants see an upgrade over Flowers?  Or do we wait till the second to grab Dawkins or Morton?
DT pickings look even slimmer. I wouldn't be disappointed if we get a DE somewhere to rotate in on 3 downs and find a big body for 1st two downs.
TE. Can Engram last to our pick in the ad 2nd?
I haven't finished the full podcast yet, but much appreciated!

Nice job guys. The sound clarity was very good. The list of questions and comments very good.
Some points that stood out: how Aaron Rogers destroyed us when DRC went out. How bad the depth is.
Lack of power running game to the right and how Fluker and Ellison will help.
Perkins potential to improve on 4.1 ypc.
How to judge the team talent by marginal players making the roster.

Great thread Mighty, thanks. On draft day I'll be watching the three tackkes, Bolles, Ramcyzk, Robinson, and now Dawkins. I also have Lamp on my list as well. Mcaffry and the 2 tight ends would be tempting too. But we have to fix the line.

We know the Giants love athletes. So I wouldn't be surprised if they had a higher grade on Njoku than Howard.  On the other hand, Howard appeals to a lot of teams because he had a four year career while Njoku only played two years.

One never knows when it comes to the Draft - so it will be interesting what the Giants will do at #23 if one or both of these players are there for the taking.  If either Bolles or Ramczyk are there as well, then what?  You can get a good TE in the 2nd or 3rd while your chances of landing a starting caliber OLT are very slim after Round One.
I'd be happy with any of those 4 falling to us in the first round!
