Watching the preseason games it is painfully clear that we are a slow team. I wasn't a big fans of gallants drop the pucks and go get 'em boys coaching philosophy. Also, he let the veterans especially panerin run all over him. I think kakko takes a big step this season, same with Chytil if he can stay on the ice. Laf, unfortunately I don't see the speed or shot necessary for him to be a major plus and eventually be traded elsewhere. Glad cuyyle made the team and feel shortly Othmann will be joining him. Igor's numbers should be much better as lav will actually have the team playing defense. Miller is another key to take nother big step forward. Would like to see him a bit more physical with his big body and not so much stickchecking but it is what it is. I think we make the playoffs and once in with a goalie like Igor anything can happen. After watching my awful yanks and giants really looking forward to our rangers giving us a good season. We play 7 of the first 9 on the road including a long west coast trip. I think that will be good for team bonding and give a pretty good indication of what kind of season we're going to get!

If we have a shot at one of the qb's coming out we need to use the pick on the qb

After last years statement from Mara about accountability and its playoffs or bust after the last couple of horrible years if he doesn't change both the coach and GM he will have lost a lot of credibility in my eyes and I suspect most giant fans. This team is a disaster with a severe lack of personal and a coach that has lost his fastball blowing games earlier with his clock management and personnel decisions and yesterday watching OBJ implode and seemingly not understanding what was going on if his postgame comments are to be believed. I don't. I think he simply didn't want a confrontation with his star player and when that happens its time for you to go as the inmates are running the asylum.

Am I the only one who thinks 13 mill for Brett Gardner is a bit pricey?

Simply stated it was a pleasure to watch the greatest NY shortstop in baseball history perform on the biggest stage in sports for 20 years. The fact that he never had a cringeworthy moment in his career was just a testament to the kids class. It will be a long time if ever that we see another player like him anytime soon and i look forward to his first ballot hall of fame coronation in July 2020.  =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

I'm going to give this a bump for now.   Depending on the interest shown I will either leave it on this board for a little longer or move to the baseball board.   So far I am encouraged by interest shown in the Yankee and Mets threads.   I hope it continues.

Webster, As a suggestion why not just leave the yankee and met threads  as a single thread for posters to add on to similar to what we do with the rangers. I imagine it will probably work the same with more action during the season and maybe now during free agency and not so much in the off season similar to the rangers. Unless you think its too much for the boards to have 3 separate threads unrelated to the giants. Just speaking for myself I enjoy the ease in just coming to the football site and posting there rather that chasing it somewhere else. I am a yankee fan but have rotisserie teams in both leagues therefore giving me a rooting interest in the mets also.

The biggest problem robertson will have is his propensity to throw a million pitches in an inning thereby limiting how many times he will be available in back to back and sometimes 3 games in a row where a closer is necesary to save  game  and he won't be available. For that reason alone I will be surprised if he lasts the season as the closer

Ed,
I say leave it as is. Just keep 1 thread per sport like we have now and add to it and not have multi threads. Like a lot of others on board I follow our other teams like rangers, knicks and yankees. I like it on our boards because you don't have the lunatics and a lot of the foul language like you have on other boards. You actually have good perspectives done in respectful manner. I don't think it has taken away from our giants news. My 2 cents.

It's been almost 7 days since the Giants have won a Super Bowl. What has TC done for us lately? I don't like the way he's handling the post Super Bowl situation. Everyone's going to be gunning for us, and I haven't heard a single word out of him about how he's preparing the team. Guy's getting way too complacent. Time to shake things up.

Every post is tweeted out to our over 1600 followers the title of this thread has reflected poorly on BBH.    No doubt this is all about sarcasm and is attempting to attack and criticize fans GoNets is apparently very angry with.  Although I did notice that anyone that called for Coughlin's firing did qualify it by saying if the team finishes out poorly.   Frankly this is a disappointing thread on many levels and I wish it hadn't been started.

This is what GoNet's posting did to our cyber reputation:
