Big Blue Huddle

* Players can be designated PUP before the start of camp.  If they are not designated prior to the camp start, they can't be added later.

* Players can come off PUP any time prior to the start of the season.

* The player has to remain on the reserve/PUP list for at least the first four regular season games (Oct. 3 or 4 this season), which is new this season.

* Once a player leaves the reserve/PUP list, he has up to 21 days to return to the 53-man roster. He can practice with the team until he's taken off the list. If the player still isn't able to play in games after the 21-day span, he'll stay on the reserve/PUP list for the rest of the season.

* players on PUP count toward the 90 man roster

He doesn't actually have to play in a game, does he?

Rich I think that you mean that he can't practice with the team.

I also thought that at any time during camp he can be taken off of the list however, if they are taken off of the list or are not on the list at the start of camp they can't be added.
