One Thing Kafka Needs To Do

I feel like Kafka is operating within only a small subset of options in playcalling.  It seems like within this subset these are his only options to pick.  I don't understand that.  For example, if the OL cannot consistently protect DJ, why doesn't he roll out DJ to buy him more time?  That is just one example, but I really believe his playbook subset is not wide enough to encapsulate other options he can utilize.  Sorry that has been my beef for this 2023 season.

I also wonder how much authority Jones has to change the play at the LOS based upon the defense.  He doesn't seem to audible as much as other QB's in the league do.  I am curious as to whether they have taken that ability away from Jones or whether it's just not something he's doing.  If it's the former it would fall more into line with the simplicity of the playbook.

I hope Kafka dumbs it down for Jones against what is the NFL's worst pass Defense so far that barely has a pass rush.

Teams have been picking the Seahawks apart in the short areas. So, let Daniel Jones have quick, easy throws. Since that is where he was successful last year he should be comfortable with that game plan. Don't overthink it. Seattle played 3 teams and all three QBs threw for over 300 yards and for the most part it is the 3rd-down RBs and possession receivers who had the big receiving numbers.

Don't try to run it. That plays to their strength. They are EXCELLENT against the run. Let Danny Dimes make local calls this week. Save the long distance calls for Miami.

He needs to set up the run both UC and Shotgun. We have two beasts at Rt and RG who can open up lanes but Pass Pro isn't their forte yet.

I was also wondering why we haven't seen any rollouts.  I haven't seen this anywhere but it occurs to me that if Jones is rolling to his right, he's moving in the direction of the pass rusher that Neal is trying to block and maybe they think getting Jones closer to a pass rusher who is probably going to beat Neal is not a good idea.  Now, I can see a rollout with Bollinger chipping the pass rusher which would buy more time.  I guess we'll see later what they come up with.
