oh I know it's just showing cap hits for the duration of Jones contract I believe. If hurts succeeds they renegotiate his deal before those last 2 years come up.

I respect ya bud but your posts are getting predicable.  We get it you don't like they signed Jones and for what they did!  Let's not beat it to death like some posters here have when they believe something.  If ya do then you are no better than them and you have become what you complained about!

Don't be that guy!  You are better then that!

Huh? You posted about the cap and that cap breakdown I shared was trending all over Twitter the same morning so I posted it in a similar thread because several people asked about the breakdown the day before. Think you read a little to much into me posting cap numbers.

First, I think Patricia is one of the top three Giant reporters. Nice job on the salary report. That is way too much work and thinking for most of the rest.

Was just heading over to Spotrac when i spotted this thread. According to Spotrac, the Giants spending ways now land them with the 5th least amount of top 51 cap space.

In the story, she mentioned Mark Glowinski, who has a whopping $8,350,000 salary cap hit in 2023. Yikes!  And a $7.2 million hit next year, before becoming a UFA this year. He's 31 yrs old.

Here's Mark's PFF career grading:
2015 74  / 50.2
2016  1059 / 61.4
2017   199 / 52.8
2018   601 / 77.7
2019  1076 / 60.5 (1st in most penalties)
2020  1090 / 67.3
2021   843 / 70.1
2022  1045 / 63.3

Definitely not looking like a glowing deal right now, but hopefully he'll be closer to his 2018 season from which undoubtedly a lot of his subsequent earnings was based off and will remain healthy.

Don't really see any savings there, as unless he comes alive, the team will have a better option by then and probably sooner.

I know the Giants needed to bolster their line, but it did seem like they overpaid a bit for Glow
