I am excited to see the vertical threats complement the running game.  The one question mark left for me is the blocking to complement them both.

If JMS can integrate himself into the starting lineup from the get-go, and be a contributor, and the linemen can stay healthier, there may be more time for Daniel to get it into the hands of the new skill players' hands.

Why not?

Peace!

Carl Banks regularly speaks with the Giants coaching staff in a relaxed, friendly manner.  So it struck me when Carl said last year the Giants had to scheme WRs open because none of them could create (openings) on their own.  That really challenges the offensive playcalling.   Now the Giants have some weapons who can get open on their own, which will really help this offense.

well then someone has to work with Jones on his long ball accuracy and judgment

Not his strength since "Carrot Top" took over as offensive co-ordinator after Jerry fired him.... Then Garrett refused to clean out his desk for 2 weeks only to wind up as our OC whence he reduced our offense to "dump off" city

Hilarious!

Daniel Jones Leads All NFL Quarterbacks in One Explosive Stat Since 2020

Heading into his fourth NFL season, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has a lot of room for improvement. Whether it's his turnovers, injuries or just his overall win-loss record, there's a lot of legitimate criticism surrounding Jones.

The one thing you can't knock Jones on, however, is his deep ball.

Warren Sharp of SharpFootballAnalysis.com recently compiled the 10 longest passes from Jones last year and noted that the Giants quarterback ranks first in EPA (Expected Points Added) per attempt on passes of 25-plus yards since 2020.

the problem was Rich we would go whole games with no long shots to stretch the D

Kafka was not calling them or Jones was not recognizing the need or opportunities

also Jones has a big problem with the drop in mid range passes outside the numbers

Parcells always said you have to throw some bombs early to stretch the D and get them thinking and out of the box

By the way, I saw Parcells on the Sea Girt boardwalk driving a 3 wheel bike last Sunday....he looked very thin. Didnt get a chance to chat, as he wizzed by

I'm in Germany now until June 20th

Allie Sherman introduced what he called the "three-end offense"--an innovation that led to the modern passing game. At one time in the fourth quarter, Allie put the three fastest players on the team on the field and flooded the deep zone with speed. To add the third speedster he added Jimmy Patton, the Giants All-Pro safety, and fastest player on the team. Always thought this play was good once a season. Now the receiving corps could potentially put this regularly in the game plan without tipping it off by substitition.
