Even Rex Ryan, a mentor to Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, was skeptical about what he was seeing from his good friend's defense.

"Wink, stop blitzing," Ryan said Sunday morning on ESPN. "It's not working."

I'm not in any way suggesting Wink should do what Rex says he should do, but whatever anyone thinks of Rex overall, he was a pretty darn good defensive coordinator. Not just on the Ravens but he also made the Jets' D very tough when he was there. So I do think his opinion carries some weight in general.
