Get to watch JJ McCarthy..hopefully not handing off 30 times in a row against the Terps  Windy in Maryland btw.  Brock Bowers, terrific TE for the Dawgs .back healthy versus the Vols.

 :ok:

I'm personally not that interested in what JJ McCarthy is able to do against crappy teams like Maryland. I want to see him in big games. We saw him last week in Happy Valley, but, for whatever reason, they decided not to really use him, and he only threw the ball 8 times.

I'm much more interested in Drake Maye today. At Clemson is a very tough assignment. I understand Clemson is unranked and has had some losses, but their D has plenty of NFL guys, and they looked pretty nasty against ND a couple weeks ago. If Maye is impressive in this game, that's a nice feather in his cap.

UGA at Tennessee is an interesting game. I don't know how important it is for Georgia (think whoever wins their game against Bama is getting in and I don't think there will be two SEC teams), but it's still huge. Tennessee hasn't lost at home yet. Meanwhile UGA hasn't looked like gangbusters in their only two road games this year. Should be interesting.

Wash at Oregon St is the other big one I'm going to be checking out. That one should be very competitive.

Michigan has got an enormous OL. Zak Zinter is a mountain. Up 7-3. JJ almost threw a pick but at least more active. Couple of nice completions..quick release.

In Maryland..Lil' Tua go Kablua..sack...fumble..td...Michigan. 14-3. JJ might get the afternoon off again. Then a blocked punt..safety ..Michigan 2 more. Terps belly up.

McCarthy has almost been picked off twice. Forced a throw in double coverage..made a bad read on a sack. Not much happening except handing off.

Clearly has size and a strong arm..mobility..etc. But I also want him to take over a game. Haven't

Uh..JJ making bad decisions in the red zone. Almost picked again..then telegraphs one for a pick after  could have had 3 ints in the first half. >:( 2

As they should. Beating Clemson for Maye at Death Xalley would rate highly

They lost to Virginia. Their defense is really terrible. That's not on Maye. He's been really good consistently.

McCarthy is not impressing at all today.

McCarthy didn't do much in this game. Same as last week. Is he lost without having Harbaugh there? If so that's not a great look for him.

Iowa's backup/starter Deacon Hill looks like a weekend warrior. Deacon Heft is more like it. Not quite Pillsbury Throw Boy but ballpark.<:-P

Maye is being held back by Mack Brown and his running back.

Williams, Maye and McCarthy weren't thst impressive today.

It's one day but it's been hasn't been the finest QB play.

"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
