Your Los Angeles Chargers are wasting no time with the NFL season now over, at least for them. Los Angeles missed the playoffs with a paltry 5-12 finish, and their offseason has now begun.

The franchise will need to find a new head coach and general manager this offseason, and they've already started looking around. The team has been active in requesting interviews for the two open spots, and we can add another name to the list.

The Chargers have put in a request to interview New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown for their open general manager job. He will also be interviewing with the Carolina Panthers as well.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

It's only a matter of time when he's snatched off the Giants FO. He's being interviewed by both the Chargers and the Panthers. If I was in Brown's shoes, I'd take the Chargers who have 25-year-old Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert under contract through 2029 vs. the Panther's disappointing rookie quarterback Bryce Young as well as no first round pick

Pretty sure he's gone
The joke I told yesterday was so funny that,
apparently, HR wants to hear it tomorrow

He is a good candidate but there are a lot of strong GM candidates this year, many from winning organisations or with some connections with one or more needy franchise.

If he emerges from the crowded field to land a role we will get a third round comp pick in both 24 and 25 and, if Schoen is smart, he will repeat the trick finding a similarly smart, young, hungry & highly rated minority* candidate from a well run franchise to headhunt and groom.

* this does not stop us simultaneously hiring/developing similarly rated non-minority candidates but smart organisations always look to exploit whatever opportunity the rules create.

What has been so great about the last 2 Giants drafts that makes teams want to take him?

in bold:

That's what the 49ers did.  It's one of the reasons the 49ers are so talent ladder even after screwing up the trade to acquire Trey Lance.  Those 3rd round picks add up.
