I think it's worth noting that when the pass rush comes that quickly (to get there that quickly, there is usually at least one blown blocking assignment, if not more), it's a lot harder for a QB not to be sacked.

As Ceri said, two things can be true. In Jones case, he faced immense pressure because of a porous offensive line. He also was very bad at dealing with pressure and helped create sacks. The excuses for Jones at some point have to cease. Everyone knows that given time most competent QBs can be successful. It's the QBs who can make plays under pressure who are special.
