I could not disagree more. They are in range for Daniels. If you have a xxxx QB, the OL will not matter. Daniels and McCarthy are still good prospects. Or you could trade up. Another OL high in the draft would be a waste of resources.

Quote from: killarich on November 26, 2023, 04:04:52 PMNo Caleb, No Maye

Dont reach .... just get 2 O-linemen ...see if Neal can play guard ...... get a DT who can actually stop the run unlike Robinson and Nunez who fleeced us

If Jones...Devito whoever is the QB still cant get it together then draft a QB in 25

Really wanted Caleb or Maye ...but Devito and co dont want it lol... now lets go 9-8 sneak in and win the superbowl lol

He's terrible. Not one long drive today. More sacks because he holds the ball and can't see the field and has no pocket presence. He's terrible. He only looks decent because Jones was such utter crap this year.

Daniels has certainly showed that. But what you look for in QBs is traits. Josh Allen was bad in college. But he had elite traits that Daboll developed.

Teams have been scheming to take away quick game because the QBs can make real NFL throws.

Quote from: LennG on November 26, 2023, 08:42:46 PMCome on, admit it, watching today's game was as exciting as watching paint dry. I know it was a Giants win, but really, could 2 offenses be that bad in the same game? DeVito may well be a serviceable QB, but he needs to learn to get rid of the ball a lot quicker. Maybe it's me, but I would think with a rookie QB in there, our OC would delve into his playbook to try and help him succeed with an array of quick slants and screens. Oh wait, we don't do screens. This is not a plug-and-play offense, just keep running the same thing no matter who is the QB, you need to nurture the rookie with easier plays. He seems to be able to make the throws, he just needs some serious tutoring.

Seriously. No one can seriously believe the Giants can ever contend with the current QBs they have. They need  a real franchise QB. We need a guy who we don't need to make excuses for.

Quote from: katkavage on November 26, 2023, 08:14:22 PMI got to say, as a Giants fan it hurts to see such stellar QB play of those two from afar. The Giants are light years away from talent like that.

No one. I want Kafka. He should be brought back. Get a QB.

This was a disaster. DeVito is a backup at best. You have more pocket presence than him. We beat a crap team because of all the turnover again. He didn't put together a single long scoring drive. This win was bad for the future of the franchise. We better trade up for a QB.
#38
He's destined to create a ton of sacks with his complete lack of pocket presence.

That kicker sucks. Now 12 for 18 for the season. Fine by 1976 standards. Awful for today's kicking standards.

And people who wanted to call him a bust when there was nothing to suggest he was.

Quote from: AZGiantFan on November 26, 2023, 04:52:37 PMAll based on a silly narrative about making snow angels next to an injured QB that he didn't know was injured.

DeVito was not good today. Threw some ducks. He has no pocket presence at all. More sacks created by him moving right into rushers instead of resetting in the pocket. We threw for under 200 yards. He was bailed out by the Giants defense. The one thing he did well was not throwing interceptions. But you can't beat good teams with QB play like this.

He was never the immature person some here made him out to be. And he's relentless on the field.

Quote from: killarich on November 26, 2023, 04:10:22 PMHe seems to be maturing.... which was honestly his only question mark ... so this is great news

I am really upset about today.

That is part of the negotiated CBA. Not by the people in charge of the NFL. So Lombardi is being deceptive yet again.

A lot of the draft sites haven't really updated their scouting reports since early in the season. Last year, the mock drafts had Anthony Richardson as a 2nd rounder at this time. I'd be shocked if he isn't QB3. I think Nix is being mocked way too high right now in most places. And Sanders won't be in the draft. He flashed early, but isn't ready. His dad has said he's going to return to school.
