Quote from: TONKA56 on April 29, 2024, 11:54:38 AMAs long as he understands that you don't TD dance when your team is down by four scores and you don't weaponize the media to call out your teammates and coaching staff it won't be an issue with anyone.

I also liked the jacket.

Were you bothered by the Cruz salsa dance? I'm sure it happened during a loss or deficit.

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 29, 2024, 11:47:37 AMI think Love was more of a leader than McKinney.  We always hear about McKinney's leadership, yet I have never witnessed any direct indication that McKinney was a true leader.

If it was Love who broke his hand during a bye week you could just reverse their names in what you wrote. Love would have become the persona non grata no one wanted to re-sign, and not McKinney. Giants fans turn on their own so quickly.

How about Nabors makes the acrobatic catch of the year like OBJ but we actually win the game this time?

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 29, 2024, 11:31:00 AMThe Giants have a front 4 of Dex, Thibs, Burns, and Nacho.  They need a rotational piece at DT and how much do you want to spend on the D-line in terms of salary and picks?

I am not as hung up on the money aspect as others here. I just think 35 is ancient for non kicker/punters/QBs and that role can be filled by a guy still in his 20's.

I can't believe we area already going there. I care about production and winning. Nabors seems like a good kid. I love how he customized the inside of his suit jacket with pictures of his mentors.

As long as he isn't another Toney.

Quote from: TONKA56 on April 29, 2024, 10:20:39 AMI completely agree with you. I'd wager the reason we don't get to see these young explosive guys as much as we'd like is simply because they haven't shown the coaches enough with respect to pass protection/blitz pickup. I'd have to think the number 2 tailback spot is wide open.

But all those other 4th-7th round rookies on other teams can? If so then we are obviously drafting the wrong type of running backs.

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 29, 2024, 09:30:53 AMThe Giants could use a part-time veteran DT who can rotate in for some snaps, which I think Joseph is still capable of providing.

Why are our standards so low?

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 29, 2024, 09:24:18 AMA guy not on the list, who I wouldn't mind a reunion-  Linval Joseph

He's 35 years old. How much does he have left in the tank? He had 7 tackles in 7 games last year.

I just want to see Tracy get playing time. I am sick and tired of us drafting and burying our rookie RBs on the depth chart while day 3 rookies play right away all over the NFL. I wanted a day 2 RB thinking it would provide a better chance to contribute right away.

OK I'll bite. What's the controversy about this reality show with Rattler?

Quote from: Jclayton92 on April 27, 2024, 01:31:52 PMI'm perfectly happy with the quartet of Singletary, Gray, Miller, and Corbin.

Why are our standards so low? The Dolphins with the #1 running game still found a need to take a day 2 RB. It's maddening.

The Giants formula in the secondary seems to be draft a player and play him right away so he gets burned and struggles while the fans complain.

Then year 2-3 that player becomes a solid starter. Fans love him.

Then year 4 that player makes a few bad plays and complains that he hasn't been extended. Fans turn on him and complain that he will cost too much to resign.

Year 5 that players leaves and we start the whole process over again and ignore other positions of need like Running Back.

We vacation every year that Holiday weekend and this would really suck for us. Sometimes we may be in another country that may not have the game. They also are encroaching on the Winter Olympics once every 4 years.

I definitely want to see a RB drafted today. If not no lower than the 4th round.

The answer to the question is if Jones is not better then he will not be the QB for long. Drew Lock will take over.
