Unless I missed something, Emil Ekiyor, Jr. (Alabama) was not drafted yet

He can play (and has played) right guard and center at one of the Giants' recent "favorite teams" (Alabama).

Sounds like a possible pot-shot for a squad with an aging right guard, and (as of today) no starting center.
