DJ's improvement is the biggest storyline going on this football team.

Part of what made him a desirable draft pick was his longterm outlook. (Work ethic.) He's a football grinder who's going to continually improve year to year. Some guys like Mayfield, Darnold and Rosen fell off. DJ is ascending.

If he's improved on his level of play from late in the season (and it certainly sounds like he has) we're in for a treat. How good can he be?

This is what Greg Cossell said.  "Jones throws a good ball and stands tall in the pocket.  He will make the late down throws.  He said he thinks Jones has the traits to be "a quality QB."  Greg says everyone gets caught up in lists, "is he a top 10 or a top whatever".  Greg didn't seem to think that's a good way to evaluate QBs.  He said- "he's a 6' 5" guy with a good arm who is a smart kid, and he has mobility, so if he reaches his ceiling, take it for what it's worth, he can be a really solid QB in this league."
