Kevin Atkins was a 2022 undrafted free agent out of fresno st that signed and was with the 49ers all last season and was drafted by the battlehawks in the XFL. So he's already conditioned and adds to the dline depth with so many out.

He did have 16.5 sacks as a DT at fresno st so maybe there is something.

Given the sudden dearth of interior D-Linemen, this signing could prove extremely important.  That 16.5 sack total for a DT is an eye popping number too.  Welcome to big blue Mr. Atkins!

Obviously sometimes gems slip through the cracks, but until he proves otherwise I will have a healthy amount of skepticism about the caliber of anyone who is freely available in late July. I hope he does prove otherwise.. That would be great. We could use the help.
