Maybe he should stop sucking in big games before showing unfounded overconfidence concerning his chance of NFL success. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Report: USC Caleb Williams wants partial ownership from the #NFL team that will select him in the 2024 Draft, per
@ProFootballTalk

PFT reported in July that Caleb's representatives had been making it known that Williams wants partial ownership of the team that selects him in 2024, if he declares for the draft.

Additionally, #Jets QB Aaron Rodgers also attempted to secure equity during his contract discussions with the Jets, but the NFL stepped in to say that isn't allowed.

If they wouldn't allow it for a future Hall of Famer like Aaron Rodgers, there's less than a 0% chance of it happening for a rookie

It really is an absurd, even outrageous demand when you really think about it. Established, elite players who are already HOF locks and have multiple Lombardi trophies for one team have never gotten this. He has never taken an NFL snap and this is what is on the table if you want to draft him? Very presumptuous and entitled, assuming the reports are accurate.

Antics like this or Shadeur Sanders buying himself a Rolls Royce out of his NIL money should be huge red flags about the mental makeup of these players in which no amount of arm talent will offset.

I'm sure it's some greedy agent in his ear, but he still owns it if he allowed his agent to persuade him to try to do this. He's not 8 years old.

This is so absurd it rises to a level to me of....it's probably not true.  He can't be so insane as to think any team would ever actually do this.  Rodgers actually is insane, so that tracks on his part, but with Williams I have to believe this is either false or coming from his agents without his knowledge or permission.

It's a lofty goal and desire but it'll never come to fruition.

No billionaire in his right mind will offer that to someone who isn't proven to be an asset to the organization over a long period of time. As much as Kraft loves Brady, it would be a non-starter.

Young Caleb needs to find other creative ways to enhance his portfolio.

Imagine how his first veteran contract negotiations will go.

A pretty laughable notion within the football sphere and one that shows just how pervasive the Silicon Valley mindset has become.  The next frontier for players would be quarterbacks getting fully guaranteed contracts, or some static percentage of the overall cap.  Given the fact that the NFL has already laughed the Deshaun Watson deal off the set, and returned to some level of normalcy with the deals for Hurts, Burrow, Jackson et al,  Williams' request reeks of a level of hubris I've not seen in a mighty long time.

While the NFL has already stepped in and wagged it's finger, the NFLPA would not be too far behind.  They're supposed to represent all players and I can only imagine how a Patrick Mahomes or Matt Stafford might react if that were actually approved.
